THE Adventure in Oslo | 23 Minutes of Fun & Rain

Evan Carmichael and his co‑host Nina document a full day in Oslo after disembarking from a cruise ship. The vlog opens with their sleepy arrival, a quick breakfast of Froot Loops and yogurt, and a decision to use a hop‑on‑hop‑off bus to navigate the rainy city. They stop at a Starbucks in the train station, where they meet a fan named Kai and encourage him to start a business. The pair then head to the historic Grand Café, sampling local beers, grilled mackerel, lamb, and a dessert of apple compote with cinnamon ice cream. Later they visit an ice bar, trying “frost wine” served in an ice glass, and comment on the novelty of the experience. Back on the cruise, they complete a treadmill workout (300 calories, 4.0 speed, 8.5 incline) while answering viewer questions, then relax, shower, and have a light snack. Evan works on his upcoming book, emphasizing his belief‑nation mantra, and previews the next day’s stop in Copenhagen. Throughout, the tone is upbeat, conversational, and motivational, with frequent encouragement for viewers to take action.

All right, we're bringing sexy back. We're bringing sexy back, Nina. It's always good being stopped by fans. We can find it, right? We can find it. We don't need to ask. Do we need to ask? We're ready. Believe Nation. Hello, Believe Nation. It's day 6. How's Nina doing? I slept very poorly.
Me too.
Very poorly.
Yeah, you were awake the whole time.
Yeah, yeah, I only got a couple hours sleep. I don't know if it's the allergies or Or just the amount of food that I ate before going to bed or what. But anyway, we're still going to have a good day. We are in Oslo. Haven't landed yet, but we're about to. We get in at 8:00 AM, leave at 8:00 PM. So we got a full day here ready to enjoy. Nina is excited. It is cold, 13 degrees high. I don't know what that is in Fahrenheit, but it means cold. And it's gonna rain, so we'll do our best to get around and see the city. But I've never been to Oslo, never been to Norway, so I'm pumped to be here. We'll take you with us, but first, breakfast. This is round 1 for me, and there's round 1 for Nina. All right, round 2. We got Froot Loops and we got yogurt. Kremosa. Breakfast was good. Nina is feeling full. Time to get off the boat, explore some Norway. It's raining. It's raining in Oslo. First task is— look at how cute Nina is in her hoodie. Second task is try to find an umbrella. See how we do. So we decided to get a hop-on hop-off bus so it's easier to get around in the rain, get a free guided tour, and we also picked up a couple ponchos in case we decide to get out. Yeah, Nina's gonna look pretty cute in her poncho. It's made in China. See, Nina was made in China too. But it's true, be proud. We got our ponchos Ready, next stop is ours. All right, we're bringing sexy back. We're bringing sexy back, Nina. Let's go hit up some Oslo. This reminds me of Nina when she hasn't had her coffee. I feel like we should get you a coffee. Let's find our Starbucks. Found our Starbucks. We're getting some venti caramel macchiatos to warm up. I couldn't do the frappuccino, it's too cold. Yeah, we're gonna chill in the Starbucks area back there and enjoy our drinks. Let me show you guys this view. This is inside the train station here at Oslo. Starbucks is on the balcony. It's pretty cool. So we got stopped by Kyle, fan of the channel. Kai. Kai. K-A-I. K-A-I.
There you go.
You have a business? Uh, not yet. Working on it. What's your favorite video? I like the Steve Jobs ones. Yeah. The motivational ones, just like cut together. I like those. Nice. There's a lot of good ones there. I love it. Kai in Norway. There you go. It's always good being stopped by fans. This time he didn't say, "Hey, Nina." You know, Nina got stopped a couple days ago in London by a fan. Remember his name? Jacob?
Jacob, yeah.
Come on, Nina. You got stopped by a fan. Jacob. What's up, Jacob? Next time stop me, okay? I remember your name, Jacob.
You should be grateful because he must be watching a lot of your videos to recognize me. So, okay?
And Nina doesn't even remember your name, Jacob. Okay? Next time, come say hi to me. Say, "Hey Evan, what's up? Evan, what?" Anyway, it's always fun being stopped by fans. Cool guy, Kai. He's just off to work. I told him he needs to start his business. He hasn't started it yet. I'm like, "Hey, you're watching all these videos. You gotta take some action." So Kai, start your business. I wanna see it. Alright, Starbucks was good. Relaxing. We were there for like 40 minutes.
45 minutes.
Got to dry off. And now we're gonna head out to the main city center, hopefully make it to the Grand Ole Café, which is the café apparently in Oslo. But it's raining outside, so we'll see how far we get. Nina's not feeling the rain. If it's too rainy, we might head back to the cruise ship. We'll play it by ear. Let's see how far we get. Fingers crossed. I can't cross my— there we go, fingers crossed.
All right, we made it to the The Grand Cafe. Let's have some food.
All right, we got 2 local beers. Bree-gury? All right, Bree-gury. And this one I think is called— she said Dignus. So both blonde light beers. Give both a try, Nina. Let's see, you're the taste tester. What do you got? Not that impressed. One's a pilsner, one's a white beer.
And this tastes stronger.
Yeah, it looks stronger. But which one do you like better? Neither. Am I having 2 beers tonight for lunch? Okay, gotta try new stuff. Starting off, grilled mackerel with dill sauce and potato chips on top. Is it raw? Forget it. Cured. How is it? Different? Will I like it? Probably not. I don't know. I'll have the chips. All right, good start, good start. So I got the hake, which is a white fish that's buried under there. There's cabbage and fish eggs on top. And Nina got the lamb with asparagus?
No, beans. Fake leek.
Oh, leek, that's what that is. Okay, try your lamb, Nina. Apparently Norway is known for its lamb. This is one of the recommended things to eat, so here she goes. That looks really tender.
Yeah, thank you.
Yeah, thumbs up?
Yeah, that's a good tender. Do you want to try?
Yes, the lamb is good. I'm gonna try the hake. You're like making a little tortilla there. Cake tortilla. All right, nice. All right, winner. Winner in Oslo. Dessert is here. Apple compote with cinnamon ice cream.
Okay, Nina, you should try.
It's okay, you're the taster. We get new food for you. And how many bites you need to have before you know what it is? Holy cow, the cinnamon ice cream is It's good.
A little light.
How about the apple compote?
Just apple pie. Alright.
Cinnamon ice cream. Holy cow, it's all gone, Nina. Look how much you ate. Yeah, right. It's all gone. It's a quality meal. We've got our sexy reindeer back on. And we're going to see if we can find the ice bar that is hopefully close by.
Ask them.
I know.
We can find it, right? We can find it. We don't need to ask. Do we need to ask? We just wore some rain ponchos and now we get to wear some ice ponchos. What's up, Nina? Look at that Magic Ice poncho. Looking good. We're ready, Believe Nation. We're ready for our ice tour.
I can't see the—
Let's do it.
Let's get our drinks. Oh, it's cold! Push the door, Nina. There we go. Holy— it's ice. That's legit ice.
It's not that bad, okay?
I see your breath. You get frost wine. That's what you get. Cheers. How is it? Oh my God, it's ice. The cup is ice. Oh my God, it's a glass, but then they have ice on top of the glass that you're drinking from. Oh, this could be our new look, Nina. What do you think? Walking around the streets of Toronto, get some Balib Parkas happening. I'm feeling this. My feet stick to the floor here for some reason. Maybe it's because they have water underneath? Are your feet sticking?
I don't know.
No, you don't feel it? This is what we're drinking, grass wine.
It's good.
Oh, this is a unique experience. I'm glad we came. Huh? You glad we came?
Mm-hmm. I like this. It's sweet.
It's nice.
That's staff only, Nina. Where are you going? What? That's staff only. No, this time there's a curtain here for a reason, because it's for staff. We exit the way we came in. Yeah, that's it. Okay, let's get warm. Let's get warm. All right, that was good. Good times. All right, so we don't want to be in the rain anymore. We're gonna go back to the cruise apparently. Hey, pop quiz, Nina. Remember the guy we met at Starbucks? What's his name?
Oh, Kai.
Kai, that's right. Kai said, uh, I thought jokingly that there's only 20 days of sunshine a year in Oslo, but it's raining all day, and if you look at the forecast for the next 2 weeks it's raining all day, every day. I feel bad. Yeah, I guess you get used to just rain all the time. So anyway, we're gonna head back to the boat.
Also, people, make sure you take your vitamin—
take your vitamin B? Is that B? D. Oh, that's the sun vitamin. Yeah, Kai likes to get to California every year for 2 weeks so he gets some sun. And again, I thought he was joking, but I get it now. I understand. Anyway, it's lighting— it's, it's lighting up a little bit, but still just gloomy. So we're going to head back to the boat and then work out, relax, eat. Yeah, another great day. All right, let's do it. All right, we're relaxed, we chilled, we changed. Nina put her wet shoes back on. Mine too, soaked. And now we're gonna go work out and then we can eat. I feel like if I do at least 10 push-ups, I'll get to eat a huge bowl of ice cream. That's how it works, right? That's how it works. That's how it works. Let's do it. All right, next up, at least 300 calories on the treadmill while I answer your questions on social media. I love it. Let's go. Going at a speed of 4.0 with an 8.5 incline. Whoo!
Here we go.
Did my 300 calories. That was a burn. It was awesome. I got some crazy sweat happening up here. Look, Nina's still going. Nina's going for an hour. She's hardcore. Listen though, look, look at this. One thing I love about these guys here, you can get these cold towels. They're freezing, and when you're done your workout— oh yeah, that feels good. I gotta petition my condo to get a little towel machine here. You can get used to this. All right, I'm gonna do, uh, I don't know what I'm gonna do. Do some work while I wait for Nina to finish up, maybe answer some more of your questions. What did Nina get? The Elisa Doku. How was your workout? How many calories? 450. Nice, huh? 500. I did 300. Nina's a rock star. Let's see a flex. Oh, it's pretty good. Okay, Nina. Nina, what's the plan now?
I'm gonna get some water.
Water?
Drink?
Drink? Drink? Like an alcoholic drink?
Yeah.
Oh wow, okay. Go back down for what? Oh, like we're gonna get a snack right now? Oh, and then shower and then go for dinner?
I don't think it's open, actually.
No?
It's probably closed.
Alright. I could always do snack.
Snack.
Shower. Dinner.
Yeah.
Remember, it's a snack, Nina. It's a snack. I'm just going to get a coffee as a snack. Don't want to fill up too much before dinner. What did you get, Nina? Fried rice? Curry and noodle. Noodle, nice. Try the curry, I was curious about that. Good. All right, Nina's getting her drink. What do you get, Nina? All right, Nina, cheers. I feel like this is a great idea.
Okay, coffee in the ice cream? So ice cream in the coffee? That's a stupid idea. Okay, too much. Okay, let me drink some. What?
Why are you drinking it?
That's my coffee.
How is it? It's pretty good, eh? Come on, guys, you know this looks great. Alrighty, there's Nina. We had our shower. I feel good after the shower.
How do you feel?
I feel relaxed. We're gonna go eat dinner. It's early, it's like 5:30. Dinner opens at 5. We're gonna get there while it's 5:30, but I'm hungry. I'm hungry. Give me some food. We're gonna see what's there. We're gonna eat a lot. Nina's gonna get some drinks. And we're going to plan for what we're going to do tonight, as well as what we're going to do tomorrow when we head to Copenhagen.
All right.
Just finished our meal. Nina's feeling full. And so we're going to do What we always do after our huge meals, check out the desserts. Go up to the buffet and look at the desserts. Shouldn't be surprised by this point. This is what we tend to do now after every meal. Have a massive meal, then look at the desserts. I'm hoping for some apple cobbler with maybe some ice cream on top and caramel sauce. Nina's hoping for What drink? More alcohol. Oh my gosh.
Okay, alcohol has less calories than ice cream.
Believe Nation, we need to fact-check that. Fact-check calories of ice cream versus wine. Well, let's see what the dessert is. I'm excited. Your new Italian wine. Have a shot. How's it taste, Nina? Bortuluci? Decent. All right, I'm pretty sure this is it. Cherry and pineapple cobbler with caramel sauce. Holy cow, as long as it's caramel sauce, we are good to go. Put some vanilla ice cream on top of that. Yeah baby, extra dessert time! Look at this awesomeness, Now just imagine it with a ton of vanilla ice cream on top.
Oh yeah, ice cream!
He's struggling. Holy cow, excuses. Look at the ice cream. Holy cow, do you want me to help you?
Oh yeah, guys, I'm drooling. I'm drooling at this. This is some amazing stuff.
Okay, let's Let me show you how to get ice cream.
Yeah, but you put it in a cone. That's cheating. It's so easy to put— anybody can put ice cream in a cone. You put it in a tiny bowl like that, it's so easy. Try putting it on top of— listen, I warmed up the machine for you and you have two full free hands. You got to do it with paper under your arm and mouth-watering food in front of you. That's just so— that's That's just so basic.
This is what you cut ice cream, right?
Okay, that's what everybody does. This does not look like white poo. It looks like a work of art, okay?
It's not dairy.
This is a work of art, okay? You just did what everybody else does, okay? Boring standard ice cream. This, oh, you can't get that anywhere. That's an Evan Carmichael original creation. Holy, that's a little too much caramel sauce.
Okay, look at you. I cannot put caramel on top.
Okay, let's go eat. Nina's fun to have fun with, right Nina?
Yeah.
Nina likes a good poke. I would poke you right now, but I don't have a hand. Oh, she's not even paying attention. Look at the caramel in the hair.
The hair wants some.
Just finished eating. Feel gross. Too much. Nina?
I'm just full.
I'm not gross. I didn't finish mine though.
Nina is coming back for food later. Maybe I'll feel better then and have some more too.
Snacks.
Snacks.
Pizza.
Pizza snacks.
We'll see, we'll see, we'll see, we'll see.
What did you get to drink, Nina?
I got the drink of the day.
Which is?
Bahamian something.
Is it good?
I don't know, I haven't tried it. And I got you this beer first.
What is it? New pilsner Urquell. All right, I like pilsners, but I'm full. We're gonna go to the room and relax. I feel like I need to clarify too what I mean by relax, because I'm gonna go to the room and work on my book. That's how I relax. I'm gonna go and work on the book because I gotta make something awesome for you guys. So we're gonna We're gonna sit on the bed, we're gonna put on BBC because they don't have CNN here, and I'm gonna work on my book. And that's my relaxation, because that's awesome. Making some really, really, really, really good progress on the book. I will have most of it done by the time I get back, a few minor tweaks to make on my computer, and then I'm gonna be pretty much ready to give it to my test audience to get feedback from. I am so super excited for this and really pumped to see what the impact is gonna be. I'm excited! So that's it for me today. Thank you guys for joining another day here in Oslo. It is, what, 10:00, 10:15? Right now I'm gonna do a little bit more work on the book, get some more stuff done. What are you doing? Nina's in bed. I want in bed too. Nina fell asleep and woke up. Give her a massage. Nice to you. Give you a nice massage. Holy cow, amazing massage. Magic hands right here. Thank you guys so much for watching. Tomorrow we will we will be in Copenhagen. That'll be next week's video, I guess, for you guys.
So, uh, continue to believe, guys, and whatever your one more is, we'll see you soon. Much love.
