This Simple Gratitude Practice System Builds Stronger Relationships!

In this Halloween‑themed episode of the Gratitude Journal livestream (episode 36), host Speaker B and co‑host Alex (the official Tryna Dance mascot) guide viewers through a daily gratitude practice while dressed in costumes—a ninja outfit and a unicorn mascot. They each share three things they are grateful for, ranging from a supportive work environment, welcoming future in‑laws, a supportive older brother, to creativity, expression, and a recent 3.5‑hour positive team conversation. The livestream emphasizes the importance of daily, sincere gratitude, encourages viewers to post their own three gratitude items in the chat, and celebrates hitting 100 subscribers on their new YouTube channel. The hosts also promote an upcoming Twitch stream where Rishi will do a voice costume, invite families to join Halloween trick‑or‑treating, and discuss light‑hearted topics like candy preferences and car scratches. The tone is informal, celebratory, and community‑focused, blending personal reflections with audience interaction.

All right, welcome everybody. Gratitude Journal livestream number 36 coming at you, the Halloween edition. We are looking amazing here, having tons of fun. So what do we do? We share 3 things that we're grateful for. Alex, who helps run Tryna Dance also with me, is dressed up as the magical unicorn.

TDS's official mascot. Right now.
Right this moment.
I've got my ninja outfit on, and we're gonna share 3 things we're both grateful for. We're gonna bring it out to the chat for you guys to share 3 things, and hopefully in the live— sorry, in the comments afterwards, you guys are leaving 3 things below what you're grateful for. It's important that it's consistent, that it's daily, not just once a month or once a week. It's every day. And that you actually feel it, that you actually ask yourself why this is important to you. I'm realizing it's harder and harder to talk with this crazy mask on, so this will be a fun one. And let's, let's do it. So we're going to, we're going to give it to Alex to start us off. What are you grateful for today?
Okay. So the first thing I'm grateful for is having such a great work environment. So I was nervous about wearing this costume actually for our Uptown Loft outing. I thought I would look silly, not something I normally do, that it was a little bit feminine, not professional. So I went to the Uptown Loft social and everybody was happy to see me. They loved the costume and just, it gave me a great feeling that I belong, right? And that's my one word. So it was really important to me. So I'm grateful to just have such a great work environment, a great friends. So that's one. Two, I'm grateful for my future— my future— I was gonna say father-in-law, whatever— my future in-laws, my future in-laws. So I'm getting married next year, September, but we had, you know, since the beginning, since I joined the family, when they— when, you know, I met them, they've always been loving and caring and welcoming. So it made my life easier to date their daughter and propose to her and have her move in with me. So I'm really grateful for that. And another thing I'm grateful for is my brother. I'm grateful for my brother, how awesome he is, how strong he is, and how no matter what happens, no matter what I do, he's always there for me. Yeah, yeah, I love him. Yeah, he's 9 years older than me, so he is my older brother. I'm the baby in the family, as you can tell with the unicorn costume. But yeah, I'm grateful for my brother.
I love it. There you go. I'm grateful for creativity and expression. I'm glad that we decided to do this today, wear the costumes. I'm glad Alex brought his over. And he's gonna wear it tonight.
Yeah, to teach.
Wow, he's gonna teach 3 hours. I, we need to feel this. I feel this needs to be filmed somewhere.
I need to put some pines in the costume. This needs to be filmed somewhere. Car pines.
I'm grateful for creativity and expression. Uh, if you guys are joining us later for the live, uh, Twitch stream, uh, Rishi Cup TV is going to be doing a voice costume. So she's gonna impersonate somebody, so we're excited for that. Which I know she's watching now, so we're encouraging this, putting her on the spot here as well. Should be very exciting. But yeah, you know, like a lot of people when we went to Uptown Loft had costumes on too, and it can be scary and it can be, you know, it can be hard to express yourself through your costumes. And so I'm glad that people were doing it. And we're doing it again here today. And I hope you guys go and join the kids. If you have kids, go out and join them in your— in the Halloween trick-or-treating. Wear a costume too. I'm gonna go— I'm gonna go pick up Hayden, I think, in this.
Nice.
I'm gonna pick him up today. Go trick-or-treating.
I'm gonna make sure you don't get pulled over.
It's true. Who's this? I think— I think— I think it's legit though. I think— I think it'll be okay. Yeah, I think today it's okay.
Okay. Well, it could be because you're sick. You're wearing the mask, right? If someone—
let's see. Do I sound sick? I lost my voice actually yesterday. There's a lot of talking yesterday.
Changing lives.
Speaking of yesterday, guys, I'm grateful for— I had a really long conversation with someone on my team, 3.5 hours long conversation with someone on my team. And so that ended up really positive. And it was— I didn't know how it would go. I didn't know how they would take it, but it ended up being a super positive moment. And so I'm grateful that we had that time to go through it. And I'm grateful for hitting 100 subscribers on this new channel.
Whoo!
That's what's up. I looked at the channel this morning, it's like 109 subscribers or something. So nice, man. I'm excited for this new channel and our, and our growth here. So let's get over to you guys here. Do we got going on? J-Rise, what are you grateful for? He's kicking us off. Zeno, I didn't take daylight savings into account. It ended for us this weekend. I gotta go somewhere. It's unfortunate we're here today. Super sad, Zeno. You should have left what you're grateful for though. Is it daylight savings?
Is it? I'm thinking, is it?
No, not a October 31st.
That's November, isn't it?
Spring forward, fall behind. I don't know when our daylight savings is, but I don't think it's different. He's in Holland, I guess. It's not daylight savings today. Okay, for us anyway.
Now, now, yeah, I'm paranoid because I gotta, I gotta email classes.
Say no. Okay, grateful for putting daylight savings on our agenda today. Yeah. J-Rise, thankful for beautiful costumes and expression. That's what we got. For directors, producers, writers, actors who make up today's storytelling industry, for easy, elegant, inspired, high-value solutions. I'm liking that. Rishi, good morning everyone, hashtag couple love. Hahaha, wow. I'm assuming she's referring to our costumes there, the nice surprise. Happy Halloween from much New Future Builder, hahaha, good morning. Next Level Cosplay, ninjas and unicorns, happy Halloween. We love your costume, Alex.
Oh, thank you.
Yay, Alex, that's great.
Look at that. Thank you.
Skye's the Limit 09, great rising and happy Halloween everyone. I love it, he always starts with great rising.
Oh, is it?
Yeah, he always writes great rising.
I like that. What is that?
I don't know. It's great rising, right? Instead of good morning, great rising. Great rising. I like to start there. Love the costumes, Adrian. Happy Halloween. Together we rise. Adrian is grateful for crisp mornings, my dog, and YouTube. Is it crisp outside for us?
Yeah, I was in the car.
You really should walk here. It's not that far.
I have a brand new car. I'm going to put miles on it, okay? I'm going to pay for it. You don't want to scratch it.
Oh my God, it's scratched.
Found a scratch. I washed the car and it scratched. 2 months and it scratched.
All right, new future builder. See, if you walked, it wouldn't happen. Grateful for Halloween. Reese's candy. What's your favorite candy?
Uh, Snickers. I love Snickers.
Yeah, man, I would probably go with O'Henry.
O'Henry is actually my top favorite too, but I love cold. I love cold. Uh, like, so you, you know, the mini Halloween ones. You put them in the— I put them in the fridge, and when you take it out, you just— it's like crunchy. Have you had that? It melts in your mouth after. So take some O'Henry, put it in the fridge, and then eat it after.
Does it melt in your mouth like Alex's eggs?
Let's not talk about Alex or his eggs.
Reese's candy and haunted houses. I love it much. I'm grateful for a day like today where playing— where play and dress-up is more embraced than usual. Yeah, I love that. I agree. Good morning, Best You Pro. Good morning, everyone. Grateful for all the supportive people that we work with. I love that. Grateful for a new day. Number 1, grateful. Well, I skipped a bunch. Grateful for a new day. Grateful for learning new things. Seems I have to learn the same things over and over again. And grateful. Where's her number 3? Number 3, grateful. It's not a race, but life is a process to be enjoyed. I like that. Sky's the limit. I'm grateful for sunshine. It brightens my mood, my family, and change. Best You Pro. Grateful for beautiful weather and definitely for another day to create and share. I love that. Nice. Hayden picked up by Ninja. Yes, we're gonna go pick up Hayden. Uh, Much. Grateful for my beautiful daughter. Lura, who volunteered to bring joy to other kids by being an outdoor school counselor this week. That's pretty cool. I don't know what that is, but I love it. Outdoor school counselor. All right, 9:10, guys. That's it. Happy gratitude. Happy Halloween. We're gonna head off to Twitch for the live stream to play some League of Legends and answer your business questions. If this is the last time I see you today, though, Hope you have an amazing day. Alex and I both believe in you. We hope you continue to believe in yourselves and whatever your one word is. Much love. We'll see you soon.
