This is a podcast episode titled with a URL link from February 2025 featuring Jeff Harrison as the sole speaker. In this episode, Jeff discusses his digital marketing agency's transition into AI automation, detailing the development of content automation workflows, personal branding tools, and AI voice agents designed to help local businesses. He also announces an upcoming in-person AI incubator event for local businesses in Southern California. The content is a monologue focused on marketing technology and AI applications for small businesses.
Hey, welcome to Local Voice. I'm Jeff Harrison, your humble host. Hey. The reason I have been off the grid, I didn't realize it had been so long, but the reason I've been off the grid is I have had my head down with my digital marketing agency and we are really grinding it out and moving into more of an AI automation agency. Let me just kind of take you through that and what that means. Back In February of 2024, I started creating an automation workflow. And I did this primarily for my business and my clients. And what it basically did is it took everything we did as far as processes and we put it in an automation workflow. And this meant from creating the blog post to creating the images for it, to making sure it's optimized. SEO, tags, all of that stuff, creating a script for a video, creating a video, making social media posts on four different platforms five days a week, all the images, all the tags, all the, you know, hashtags, keywords, whatever it takes, along with an email. And so now every week on Monday at about 9am Pacific, it will go through all of the information that it pulls up for each client and based on the psychographics, behavioral process of their clients or their ideal customers, it will create a new blog post. And it does a phenomenal job. Well, we've been doing that since, like I say, we started building in February, we launched in April. We've been testing it on just our clients and that has taken a long time, a lot of money. But I'm excited to say it is rocking and rolling now. Since then, we've done a couple things and you probably know this would help this whole thing of personal branding, meaning, hey, if your name is Jeff Harrison, you're probably going to attract more people than the company, Swing Point Media. Why? Because we kind of get behind you, we get to see a person who you are, that type of thing. Well, that still takes a lot of work. So what I did is I created another workflow and typically a personal branding or an influencer will start with what they start with, a video. So what we have is now we have a simple app that people can upload their video or give it a URL and it will take that same video and now we'll transcribe it, turn it into a blog, turn it into social media posts, do the shorts, do the whole thing, including an email for those of us that use an email, which if you're not, you're leaving a lot of cash on the table. But anyway, so it does all that for you. And it does it in a record amount of time. So again, it will. The whole idea behind this was not to become an AI expert and automation expert, but it kind of one of those things you keep sharpening the edge of a knife and it just gets sharper and sharper and you're able to cut through a lot more stuff. Well, that's kind of what's happened when it's come to keeping my head down and working on this. Now, there's been some sacrifices, but they've all been worth it. And some of it has been, you know, I haven't been out there doing much in the way of generating new sales, new leads, new clients. And in 2025. Well, let me back up just for a second. So the first thing that we built in February and launched in April, we didn't really have a name for because it was really for internal use only. Right. It was selfishly for, hey, let's take care of our own clients. But then as we used it, we said, you know, this is probably something that a lot of people could benefit from. And we played around with the idea of, should I sell it, should I license it, should I just rent it, what should I do? Well, we decided to call it the Content Accelerator. Yes, the Content Accelerator. And what that allows is anyone can sign up who wants to generate this. And it's a, what we call a done with you application. And what that means is, let's say, for instance, your ABC hardware. And you want to do this? Well, what will happen is we'll get your information, which will all be gathered online. It'll automatically feed into the whole process. All automates, really slick. So the onboarding is really easy. And now we'll produce your content just like the full version. The only difference is instead of my staff putting it onto your platforms and distributing it, you'll do that, which saves a lot of time and a lot of money. Well, here's the difference. Some people say, well, you know, if you're just doing AI, Jeff, how good is that content? Well, we have a process in place where every piece of content, every link, every paragraph, every video, it's all looked at. By who? Our human operators. So we call them haios, Human Artificial Intelligence Optimizers. So they're checking to make sure, hey, it reads and acts like the blog, like it's been written by a human. We look at and say, hey, are those links working? Do the links actually go someplace that are relevant to the blog? Absolutely. Do the same thing with video. We customize when we look at the images, we say, was the spelling correct on there? Is it relevant? Does it look okay all the way through? We do this whether you choose the done with you where swingpoint Media as an agency would do that for you or a done with. Yeah, done for you or done with you. Now the done with you. Of course we'll do exactly the same thing. We bundle it up and we put it into, let's use a Google folder as an example. And now you as the business, you're pinged and said, hey, all your stuff is ready. You take that or you have a virtual assistant, they take that and they put it on your platforms, schedule your emails, schedule your posts and away you go. Now what's the difference? Well, the difference is it saves you a ton of money if you chose to go that route. And for me, as a digital marketing agency, what it allows me to do is help so many more people leverage the power of content. Now, unless you have been hiding under a massive rock, content is what attracts your ideal customers. In other words, I had somebody, somebody say something funny the other day, said, you know who's going to watch a 30 minute video? Jeff? And I said, well, if it's on a subject that is important to you and it's important for you to get from A to B and that video will help you do that, you would probably watch that 30 minute video, wouldn't you? And he says, well, yeah, of course, but I'm not going to watch that other video, I said, because it has no meaning to you. You're not our customer. So keep in mind, not only does it help attract your ideal customer, it helps filter out those customers who are not your ideal customer, at least not at that time. But maybe they saw your content. But here's the beautiful thing about this content, in my opinion. And you can go back and look, you know, Neil Patel says this, Gary Vaynerchuk says this. So that's nothing new. But content has this compounding effect, just like interest. If content were cash, it'd be like, if you did it right, you'd be like the Warren Buffett. Because what happens every time you build a piece of content, you put it out into the, into the universe and it just keeps working. I'll give you a specific example. One of my clients, they are an H Vac company that's heating and air conditioning company here in the area. I live with Coachella Valley and I was just looking through some of their stats the other day and a video that we made for them over two years ago is still number one as far as, hey, how many views have they had this month? And it's very significant. Now it's here in the winter and here's the ideas. Why does my heater blow cold air? Well, of course, that's something that's a common phrase that the average person, if they really are cold and they're thinking about turning a heater on and it starts blowing cold air. That's the first question you ask, why is my heater blowing cold air? Well, that's why that particular video ranks so high. Another situation where I remember it was back in February of 2019, just before COVID We started with a company called Lux Electric Golf Car and we started putting content out and they changed their whole model for marketing. They just went all in on content. They stopped advertising on TV and radio and print and they said, we're just going to do this. Well, they were averaging about 300 website traffic views a month. About 300. Now that's not terrible because the average for a local business, about 400. There was one article that was written. Now this is a written article. That's why I like all forms of content. It's on their website. It consistently. Now, just this one article was getting over 1700 unique visitors visiting a site every month. You see, the thing about it is we just don't create content to make noise. We create content to put up a signal to say, this is your answer. You see, in both these situations, we picked a topic that their ideal customers are looking for and then we made a great piece of content for that business that just keep building. Now, like I said, it's compounding because here's what happens if we're creating content. If you're creating content every week for your ideal customer or for yourself, and you're putting it out, whether it's on YouTube, it's on Facebook, it's on your website. Please don't overlook that. I see so many websites not have a blog. And oh my gosh, that's one of the best SEO tools you can absolutely have is to create a blog that's rich with content. It's rich with help for your ideal customer, but it's also rich with, hey, the service areas, the keywords, the authority that you have in your industry put it out there. But every week that just keeps adding up. And I'll give you a very specific example. I just had the conversation with a gentleman today. They own a company. We started helping them on paid ads and we did it about 90 days. And I'll be honest with you, we struggled with it. And the reason for it is, is they have a great product, but it's brand new. But when you go to the website, probably one of the biggest things is it had no real content on there. So if somebody wanted to go deeper than that first layer, there was nothing there. I just. Recently I'm working on creating an advanced chatbot or an automation communication tool for Swingpoint Media. And there were over 1800, that's right, 1800 pieces of content in a mixture of video and written content that it could use as knowledge base that makes that chatbot, or in this case the automation assistant, extremely knowledgeable. There's almost. No, you can't, you can't stump it. Well, when people come to your website for that first, let's say that first reason they searched and they found your content, it brought them to your website and they read the one article and then down below it says related people also liked and it clicks on another one. And then they read that one, it clicks on another one. Every time they take more time with you, guess what happens? The relationship between you and your customer does what? It grows like thicker than thieves. I mean, you start getting like this. They know you, they feel you, they like you. I'm guilty of it. There are people I follow that I've never really in IRL in real life have met. But I feel like I know them as well as I know some friends that I, you know, play pickleball with three, four times a week. Why? Because I listen to their content, I watch their videos, I read their stuff. And now if anybody says, hey, what about such and such, well, I already have an answer for them. So like I said, I've been out of the game for a while because I've been building this stuff behind the scenes. I'm excited about it. And as you can tell, so we have a few products. One was a content accelerator. The other one is the personal brand accelerator. Notice the theme here, Accelerator. We've also built a voice agent. Now, I got to tell you a little story behind that and then want to kind of wrap it up today. But here's the deal. My wife would come home and I'd ask her, hey, how's your day? And she says, oh, so and so didn't show up today. Day would go by and I'd say, how's your day? Oh, you know, it's really good. But, you know, so and so just didn't show up today. And it created a two hour gap in her day. Now my Wife has a hair salon. She's a hair salon stylist. She doesn't have a lot of people. It's her, it's her private salon. Well, here's what happens. Every time somebody doesn't show up, what does it do? It costs her money. She can't fill that in. If she's expecting 10 minutes, somebody come in that was going to have their hair done and this blows me away, but it might be couple 300 bucks, she loses that money. So I thought, how can I help her? So I thought two or three weekends ago I said, I'm going to build a voice agent for her. And what this would do is it would basically get in touch with her calendar, understand her calendar, all her contacts with a phone number and the day before their appointment. What would it do? It would reach out to that person, say, hey, this is Carmen, and whatever her company is, I don't want to expose it here, but with the name of her business and I just want to confirm you have a 10 o' clock appointment. And they say, yeah, I'll be there at 10. Fantastic. But if they say, well, you know, I can't make that, let's reschedule you. And so it wouldn't just, okay, great, I'm going to cancel it. Or if somebody wants to cancel or reschedule, the voice agent is designed to help walk them through that, find another spot on the calendar based on what they need to have done and then we'll plug them in and then let my wife know that, hey, Joanne went from 10 o' clock tomorrow to two days from there at 11:15. And then if someone were to call her business, because again, she's like a lot of us, we're one man shows and we're answering the phone while she's working on somebody's hair and her phone rings, guess what? Her AI voice agent would answer the phone and could take that call, walk through the conversation based on what she offers and the time it takes for each one of those offerings, could actually book the appointment for her. So now that 10 o' clock they got cancelled, she could actually, the AI agent could fill that in. To me, it's like, oh my gosh, this thing could pay for itself in less than a week. If you had two or three cancellations, it could pay for itself on a monthly basis. And so the idea of this is, this is changing the way we do business. The final thing I want to share with you, I'm so excited about this. We just got the final on this is we're going to start doing some in real life presentations. We call it the AI incubator for local businesses. It's a cool thing that we're going to start doing once a month. It's in real person. We might do some virtual. Well, I'll let you know on that. But it's in Rancher Mirage, California. It's on the 24th of February. We're probably going to do it on the fourth Monday of every month from 2:00 to 4:00. And Rancho Marsh Chamber of Commerce has said, hey, we want to be the title sponsor. We want to get behind this because we see how this would help our business owners. The goal of this is to do what, is to expose what I just shared with you some ideas from a customer service. But wait a minute. I hear some of you saying, ah, you know, the chatbots, they're old, not today's chatbots. They're so much smarter, they do so much more. You'd be shocked. It would make you spin your head to know just what can happen with the properly built chatbots for customer service. How about for training? Oh, wait a minute. You want somebody to do some lead generation. Those can be made and they're so smart and then they can deploy them wherever you want. It is so slick in 2025. I said it is my year to build strong lead generation for all my clients, including myself. And we've started doing that. And so far, so good. I'm so excited with everything that's going on. So wrapping this up, we're back at it. We're going to be doing our show, the Local Voice again and we'll have some guests here and there. But I've got so much I want to share with you. So a lot of this is going to be me. I'm going to stay excited, I'm going to share things with you. And I just want to say, hey, if you are in the Coachella Valley, that's Southern California in the Palm springs area on the 24th of February and you can make it to the AI incubator for small or for local businesses, this is where you want to be. Just put a comment in there or send it. Send an email to jeffwingpoint Media. I'll tell you how to get involved in that. How much does it cost? Watch this. I hope you're sitting down. It's free. My goal is to help you as a, as a local business owner figure out that, hey, there's a lot of things you can do. You don't have to wear so many hats. You can literally turn some of these agents that we're talking about voice and text. You can turn them into employees. They can do all kinds of cool things. All right, so that's it for today. I just want to wrap that up. I want to. Again, thank you for your patience. I really appreciate and love you. If you, if you liked it, this podcast, if you like this episode, please go to wherever you're listening and give it a, like, give it a thumbs up. And do me a favor, leave a comment. Hey, do you like it? Do you think the guy was crazy? Whatever it is, I'd really appreciate it. Until next time, have a great week, and I'll see you under the side.
