How Niching Down Exploded Leila’s Finance Coaching Business

Leila's finance coaching business exploded after she niched down. She went from solo coaching to multiple six figures, while other coaches who picked specific niches like tattoo business owners scaled to millions by building teams. Kelsey Dickey and others in the space show how picking your person matters more than staying general.

So that was a huge nugget. Okay, so you said Kelsey Dickey. I love her. Been following her since maybe. It was definitely after Covid I found her. I want to say 21 or 22. She's got the Financial Coach Academy and you know her podcast and as you mentioned, she's got the, the Facebook group. And it's crazy because it's such a small niche within the financial industry. There's probably three or four Facebook communities that are significant in size and active, that are all people that are financial coaches or aspiring financial coaches. And then I would say the only event I've ever gone to where I got to meet other financial coaches was fincon. Like, that's it. I don't know any other event other than if you were to hang out with Kelsey and you go through her program. That's. That's different. That's like her internal community. But there's no like, kind of big open world. And so fincon is that only place where you, for now that I know that you can get that. So that's huge. And then you mentioned Roy, right?
Ryan, Roy, Ryan, Ryan, Roy.
Okay, so he's a coach that does the team. To your point, he's figured out a way to generate millions a dollar. I haven't figured that out. I'm a multiple six figure guy and I'm like, already at my max. Approaching my max in terms of how many people I can serve. But millions in coaching is crazy. That's like, okay, he's definitely. And the fact that he niched down to tattoo business owners is like, how many of those are there in the country? Like, he's probably got them all at this point. So that's awesome.
True.
That's really cool.
Yeah. What were you going to say for content creation? Somebody more recently that I used to not think very highly of is Alex Hormozi. He's great with content creation and he's the. He's also talks. He's kind of like Gary Vee where he kind of preaches the whole, like, if I create enough content, if I just keep on going, you'll eventually get there. Like, if you just keep putting videos up, obviously they can't be crap. You can't just not say anything and have no quality behind it. But it's. That's just my whole idea behind this. Like, whenever I listen to him, I'm like, yes, yes. This is exactly how I feel. Like he's just so great. And I think a lot of people see his, like, aesthetic and how he just talks as a person, but he's. He's very authentic to me. Like, he doesn't run ads, he doesn't sell courses. He doesn't do anything like that. He has books. Everything else is for free. There's some really awesome podcasts where he's featured on. I think it's Modern Wisdom where he has, like, three or four episodes that are, like, three hours long. Listen to the whole thing. All of them worth it. They're so good.
