100 TONNES PLUS! - John Deere X-Series

A farmer walks through the John Deere X9 combine harvester, highlighting its ability to handle over 100 tonnes per day. He covers straw spreading, threshing efficiency, and automation features that let him work longer shifts without fatigue.
We as farmers place huge value on the spreading of chopped straw over the full working widths. Our working width of the header is 12.25 meters and the spreading of straw over this width was done very neatly and accurately. Although the existing working conditions are really difficult in some cases green straw and tough straw. But the chopping concept of this combine is designed to deal with these conditions. We figured out that the system is working very well. Since we have invested in X9 combines, we no longer have problems with straw matting and poor spreading of straw. The chopper of this combine is able to spread the straw precisely over the full working width. This ensures a very good growing of the following crops and there is no need for any other devices to remove badly spread straw. I really enjoy seeing how all the crops are growing throughout the autumn. I am always happy to see the straw being spread evenly. In addition, we can also say that from an agronomic point of view, we are driving with a really very, very stable loss level of the combine. Our goal is to produce no more than 1% losses via cleaning in grain threshing and no more than 2% in rape threshing. And we adhere strictly to this. Even if the combine harvester could perhaps sometimes have more engine power. We try to adhere to this limit and are very enthusiastic about how this is achieved via the large separation area that the combine has. Broken grain is also a topic for us because it ends up having an impact on the sales price. Broken grain also ends up on the field due to the separation process. The double rotor combine is a very good system for always achieving the goal of producing no more than 1% broken grain. Our drivers take advantage in this case of Harvest Smart to constantly check and improve the machine settings during threshing to guarantee no more than 1% loss during threshing and less than 1% broken grain. As the threshing time is usually from 10am to 10pm we like to use these automation functions to be productive during a long day. It's a long working day for the employees and the possibilities the machine offers, from the comfort of the cab to to the automation function of the threshing system, give us the opportunity to relax a few minutes.
