24h Harvesting Video PROFI | John Deere

Watch a 24-hour continuous harvest at Gross Valmsdorf near the Baltic Sea using two John Deere combines: the X9 1100 and T670i. The video follows real-time operations, showing machine performance, weather challenges, and the logistics of keeping the harvest moving around the clock.
We have traveled to the Gross Valmsdorf estate on the shores of the Baltic Sea in Mecklenburg Vorpommern to be there when the brand new John Deere X9 1100. And at 670 I go up against one another on the starting line. The particular challenges of this location during the harvest season are very diverse. I mentioned right at the start that the business is very close to the Baltic Sea, almost right on the shore. On the one hand, this means that we have a relatively stable high yield level, accompanied by a high yield of straw. The x9 is on the starting line and the stopwatch is running. The countdown starts now in order to set the combine up in an optimum manner. The large fields had already been cut the previous day so that the machines could hit the ground running today in picturesque Mecklenburg. But the T670i is also ready, just waiting for the start signal. And they're off, throwing themselves into the task at hand. The weather conditions could not be better. Almost 30 degrees centigrade, sun and wind. What more do you need? Naturally, the crop transport logistics are also beautifully organized. While the combines are putting on their best show. Naturally, the checking team is also on the scene. Lost control pans were regularly thrown under both machines and then meticulously weighed. Hello. Hello. The time is now half past three. I have the great pleasure of driving the X9 1100 machine in gorgeous sunshine. Nevertheless, we still have relatively high humidity in the soil and hence also humidity in the straw. In this field we are achieving a yield of between 9 and 10.5 tons. We are actually consistently achieving 95 to 105 tons. 110 tons would be the maximum figure. Things are also running smoothly with the T series. The machine with six straw walkers achieved a grain throughput of occasionally more than 60 tons per hour during the late afternoon in the 10 ton field. The challenge is now to defy the approaching dew and to optimize the settings for the changing conditions. Only then can the machines deliver their best performance. In any case, the teams work extremely well together and unloading goes off without a hitch, even in the dark. But how does the straw walker machine cope with the increasingly moist straw? It's now 11:44pm the conditions have changed more quickly than we expected. We are currently experiencing a grain moisture content of 15% and higher. With a straw moisture content of more than 30%. The harvesting day is over for the T670i shortly before midnight. In almost exactly 14 and a half hours, the machine harvested a total of 10640 tons of wheat crazy. But the X9 is still going. Yes. It's now almost half past one in the morning. We're in our 17th hour of working and up to now we've managed 106 hectares. At this point, the X9 has harvested almost 110 hectares and an unbelievable 1000 tons of wheat. And so it proceeds through the night. Before the next day dawns, it gets exciting again as it grows light outside. Real sea fogs often appear along the coast, which can make the harvesting conditions even worse. But up to now, we've achieved average throughputs of about 50 tons per hour. Sam. It came as we had expected. The fog arrived with the dawn. But the X9 perseveres before the sun has risen. The sun straw moisture content is at 44%. And on the final lap, shortly after 9:00 o', clock, the dust returns. The team has every reason to celebrate with a 24 hour continuous operation behind them. Believe it or not, the Combine has harvested 1,338 tons of wheat from more than 140 hectares.
