This is a YouTube video titled "9000 Series SPFH grass harvest Contrator Vroege" containing a monologue by Brian Frewer from the Netherlands. He discusses his family's large-scale farming operations, focusing on cattle breeding and arable farming, and shares detailed insights about their long-term use of John Deere forage harvesters, highlighting the features and performance of the latest model they use.
We've been using John deere for about 60 years. We started out with a 6810 forage harvester from John Deere. This was the very first forage harvester. Later we bought a 6850. We had two of them. After that came the 7000 and 8000 series. My name is Brian Frewer. I live in the Netherlands in the province of Drenthe. We live in South East Drenthe. At home we have a large family farm. We do cattle breeding, arable farming and run agricultural machinery. We milk about a thousand cows and for that we need a lot of grass and maize. We chop a large part for our. We are our own biggest customer. We also chop a lot for customers. We chop a total of about 5,000 hectares of grass and about 700 hectares of maize. This machine leaves a very good impression. The forage harvester and its engine are very powerful. Especially in the lower range. It can chop at lower engine speeds. The cab of this forage harvester is much quieter than our current forage harvesters. Everything you need is within reach with this forage harvester. Fuel usage is also lower than with current forage harvesters. And the daily maintenance of this machine is also very simple. The header is quickly removed, then you can blow it clean, just making sure the tank stays full. This forage harvester has a new spout. This is very popular in the Netherlands with the sugar rich grass. We had a lot of problems with it because it would get stuck in the spout. But with this new spout it runs well. In recent years, customers have been asking for the grass to be chopped shorter and shorter to fill the cow's rumen with more volume. The quality of the chopped grass is very good. Hurricane.
