How to build a dozer blade.
The machine has two IMUs on it, and an IMU is an internal measurement unit.
It's a gyroscope, in a sense. It allows us to know where our dozer blade is and where our machine is and where they are in reference to each other. We have a lot of software put into this machine so you can cut a smoother grade. For example, as you're running up a slope, it's hard to react in a short wheelbase in a fast, quick machine like this. And so the operator manually sometimes can't get out of that building, that mogul. So we have software that will detect that you're running up that first hill, and the blade will automatically adjust itself. We call that software easy grade. And that really helps keep that grade as smooth as possible. If the boom comes up, it's starting to use all of the linkage of that machine, and it can get a little bit soft.
So we need the boom down on.
The stop so we have a very rigid connection. The machine can sense that it's coming off the grade and automatically pulse the hydraulics to keep that boom down on the stop so you get a very rigid grade. All of the key components, like the grate, control, integration, the blade itself, how it operates, the control system, it's all working in harmony together.
