Ajuste do Desfiador Colhedora de Algodão

This is a YouTube video titled "Ajuste do Desfiador Colhedora de Algodão" containing a detailed technical explanation by Francisco Jimenez about the proper adjustment and maintenance of doffers in cotton harvesting machinery. The content focuses on operational procedures and mechanical adjustments to ensure optimal performance of the equipment, recorded on September 4, 2020.
The doffers only have one job, and that is to remove the cotton from the spindles. Cleaning the spindles is not the job of the doffers. Doffers must contact the spindles to remove cotton. Proper doffer adjustment is critical for optimal picking. Stop the engine and remove the key prior to doffer inspection or adjustment. Doffer height adjustment should be checked on all row units every six hours of operation. If doffer columns are too high and are not contacting the spindles, cotton will not be doffed properly from the spindles. If columns are too low, excessive doffer pad spindle bushing and spindle barb wear will occur as doffer pads wear. Lowering of the doffer column is required for proper contact with the spindles. After the row unit has been cleaned, position 1 bar of spindles to be in line with the slot in the bottom of the unit frame. This will align a row of spindles directly under the leading edge of the doffer pads. Doffer adjusters will vary depending on the generation of the row unit. The traditional doffer adjustments require two wrenches. To adjust, loosen the locknut and turn the doffer adjuster counterclockwise. Raise the doffer until it rotates freely. Then lower the doffer by turning the adjuster clockwise until you feel a slight drag between the doffer pad and the spindle. While rocking the doffer column with your other hand, tighten the lock nut. The newer My15 and later Pro16 doffer adjusting process is simplified and only requires one wrench. All the other steps for doffer adjustments are the same. To adjust, turn the adjuster screw counterclockwise until the doffer turns freely. Turn the adjuster clockwise one click at a time until a slight drag between the doffer pad and the spindle is felt while rocking the doffer column. If there is unequal doffer pad wear, doffer pad damage or doffer pad replacement, the doffer column will need to be removed and taken to the dealer for doffer grinding.
