Bigger Footprint, and narrower width: John Deere Tracks

John Deere's new combine tracks offer a bigger footprint with narrower width, reducing soil compaction while improving traction and durability. The design innovation balances ground contact with equipment maneuverability for better field performance.
New combine tracks, multiple design innovations and significant performance improvements. Five rollers evenly distribute the combine's weight, avoiding pressure points up to eight belt lugs continuously engage with the drive wheel. RESULT Slip free traction Traction even in the toughest conditions. Two pivot points around the drive wheel and three for the five rollers enables ground following similar to a tire. Large openings around the track belt lets dirt easily escape. Tracks aim upwards when the drive is engaged so they don't get stuck even in deep mud, the suspension absorbs road vibrations for a more comfortable ride. Enjoy higher transport speeds with reduced wear. Thanks to self lubricating rollers, the tracks are longer, which gives them a larger footprint. At even small widths, it means you can still have a narrow combine without compromising on soil compaction. For example, these 610 millimeter tracks offer up to 30% greater contact area than equivalent competitors. Other big advantages no greasing points and 500 hours between oil changes. 20% less mechanical and shock vibration in tests to ISO 2631. 30% bigger average track footprint and significantly reduced wear in endurance tests. It all adds up to our best tracks ever. Sam.
