Bryce Dickson 2023 John Deere A&T Service technician of the Year - New Zealand

Bryce Dickson, a field technician at Brandt, won the 2023 John Deere A&T Service Technician of the Year award for New Zealand. He talks about his career path and what the recognition means to him.
Yeah. The most rewarding part about being a John Deere technician is the support and stuff you get from John Deere on their products. You know, sort of makes you look good in front of the customers because you know what you're talking about. My name's Bryce Dickson. I've worked for Brandt for the last six years at the Wangray branch as a field tech. I started out as an automotive technician, changed over to ag when the global financial crisis happened. Yeah, sort of looking back, I was thinking, man, I should have done this from the day dot. I find it a lot more rewarding being an ag tech. I won it in 2021 and missed out last year. So this year I'm back to take my title.
The Argentur Service Technician of the Year award for New Zealand is Bryce Dixon from Brad Coleraine.
I think it's really important to shine a light on technicians and the job that they do. But the competition was so tough this year. They really stepped it up. Had no idea whether I'd done it right or not. So the first time I won it was Covid times, all done remotely. So to come back and win it in person. Yeah, over the moon about it.
