Discover the Power of JOHN DEERE X9 Combines - Revolutionizing Farming!

This is a YouTube video titled "Discover the Power of JOHN DEERE X9 Combines - Revolutionizing Farming!" featuring Frank Petersen discussing his agricultural operations on the Hestermass farm located between the Schlei and the Baltic Sea. The content is a detailed monologue about the use of John Deere machinery, particularly the X9 combine harvester, highlighting its features, benefits, and integration into their farming practices. The video was created in August 2025.
My name is Frank Petersen. We're here on our Hestermass farm. That's pretty much exactly between the Schlei and the Baltic Sea. We have an arable farm and also do a little contract work. We also run a biogas plant. Our agricultural operation covers a total of 480 to 500 hectares. We also thresh some on an inter farm basis so that we are in the range of 650 hectares. We have been using John Deere machinery since 2014. We have partners in Mecklenburg and Schleswig Holstein who have been working with John Deere for a long time and are very satisfied. We went for it for the first time in 2014 and bought a tractor. We also use John Deere forage harvesters as well as a crop sprayer. We toyed with the idea of buying a combine for years. We were able to try out the X9 during this harvest. We were also able to try it out last year. The new cab is very large and very comfortable. The operator's seat and the entire interior of the cab are very comfortable. The new cab is very, very quiet. The cutting platform guide is extremely good, especially for the soil conditions that we have here. The cutting platform adapts really well to the terrain so that the operator can operate it with ease despite the relatively difficult conditions. The combine makes a very good impression, especially with its large caterpillar tracks and large rear wheels. It gets over obstacles relatively easily. With the caterpillar, you feel like you are forming a bridge over the tracks, as if you were really floating above them. When harvesting 650 hectares divided among three traditional crop types, such as barley, rapeseed and wheat. You notice the advantages of the new technology, like the grain camera, which explicitly adjusts to the grain and to quality. You can decide for yourself whether to optimize the combine for performance or grain quality. The combine makes these adjustments itself. The combine itself makes the changes permanently to ensure optimal timing. The sensors are constantly measuring, which we see as a huge comfort and a huge advantage. We also tried out the biomass maps today, which are used to adjust the travel speed to requirements based on the density of the crop. We see this as an advantage as the operator no longer has to do this all the time. He'll get tired eventually if he does that for 16 hours a day. Since this is fully automated, it greatly simplifies things for us and we achieve maximum capacity during the peak harvest period. We do most of the preparation for sowing grain ourselves. This means, of course, that it is also very important for us to have excellent grain quality and cracked grain in particular is a huge issue. The machine offers us the quality that we also need in order to process the seed ourselves. The REBO group has also had a very strong presence here in northern Germany since 2021 and we've been working together very well ever since. When problems arise, it is important to approach them in a solution oriented manner. And these are precisely the issues that we have been able to solve comfortably and well looked after both in sales and in the workshop. I imagine we will be able to integrate the X9 into our business very well. The technology this machine offers makes it a very good fit within our overall portfolio.
