Fuel Treatment for John Deere Tractor

This is a YouTube video titled "Fuel Treatment for John Deere Tractor" containing a detailed monologue or presentation about fuel treatment products for John Deere tractors. The speaker explains the importance of water separation in fuel systems, describes specific John Deere products like winterized fuel conditioner, fuel protect, and antimicrobial liquid, and provides usage recommendations to maintain tractor fuel systems and prevent damage. The content is instructional and product-focused, created in September 2019.
Alright, I want to talk to you this morning about fuel. The fuel is what powers our machines today and makes it so we can do the things we want to do. You know, about a decade ago we had some changes to the fuel and how it's processed and treated and so forth like that. Now we have to worry about getting the water back out of our fuel systems. And your tractors or most of them are equipped with a mechanical water separator. The situation run into is that doesn't unchemically bond the water from the diesel fuel. So one of the first products I'm going to talk to you about this morning is John Deere winterized fuel conditioner. This has a chemical in it that helps debond the water and the fuel. And by using this particular chemical or product, it'll allow us to keep the water out of our fuel system. Today's fuel systems run up to 22,000 or even 25,000 psi. And just a little bit of water in that fuel that is carried through there can have catastrophic effects on the fuel system of your machine. So we recommend mixing this per the bottle. That little bottle goes a long way as far as treating that fuel. It also adds a little bit of cetane boost and it helps with the cold weather performance of your fuel. The next thing I want to talk about is our John Deere fuel protect. The fuel protect is designed, it's like a fuel system cleaner, alright. So a little bit of water got into your fuel system or a little bit of trash or a little buildup from usage. And what this does is this particular product, it helps clean all that out. It keeps the fuel system running, strong fuel flow and gets those deposits out of those injectors and injection pump. We recommend running this as a maintenance. It's 1 ounce per 10 gallons of fuel. If you're having a little trouble, little smoke and something like that, go ahead and bump it up to 1 ounce for 5 gallons. Run tank full or 2 through should clean it right up. Then with all the water that gets introduced to these fuel systems today, there's always the potential at the bottom of your tank where the water accumulates to grow an algae. And when algae starts growing, it's really, really hard to get that stuff out of the tank. I mean some of these tractors are not real easy to remove the tank and clean them out. So we highly recommend using John Deere antimicrobial liquid in there. And it's got a mixing solution here and how many ounces or milliliters per gallon and what this stuff does is it kills that algae from growing in that fuel tank. And algae will end up stopping up your fuel filters, your strainer, your fuel lines, and your entire fuel system can cause some costly repairs. But these three products, in the right applications, can sure save you a lot of downtime. For these three products. You can find them at any of our 21 locations. And any additional questions, don't hesitate to reach out. Talk to us. Thank y'. All.
