This is a YouTube video titled "Granvikin Metsätyö Oy testing harvester IBC" containing a detailed testimonial from Jani Gronwick, a machine transportation truck driver and work coordinator, discussing his experience operating forestry machinery equipped with IBC technology. The content focuses on the smooth operation, durability, and efficiency improvements provided by the IBC system in logging machines, recorded in 2018.
Foreign I'm Jani Gronwick. I'm a machine transportation truck driver and work coordinator at Branwicken Metzityo. I started operating a forwarder in 2001 and since then I've operated both a forwarder and a harvester. We have five machine chains of our own. Working with IBC is smoother and the end damping is really remarkable. The boom knows where it is going at all times and there's no jerky movements. It is nice watching the boom work. Whether on a forwarder or a harvester, it functions smoothly like flowing water. Using the boom is very different standing behind a pile of logs. It's fun to watch a forwarder at work. It always has. The boom's a position. IBC will be on the list of must have features whenever we buy a new machine. If it's an option, IBC makes work easier and I'm confident that it will pay for itself in the long term because it also reduces stress on the boom structures. I definitely know what to choose for logging trees. The best machine for me is the 1270G, equipped with IBC and a long boom. It's just the right machine for our forests. If you don't enjoy going to work, you aren't as productive. The operator must like the machine. IBC uses the extension more in normal working. If you go from working in a machine with IBC to one that doesn't have ibc, your use of the extension might change a bit. You start using it differently in various tasks. The durability of the boom is surely at a different level because there are no shocks to the boom structure. Even in maximum reach positions, the working is smooth and there isn't any noise from the extension. With a normal machine without ibc, you hear a clunk whenever you pull the extension inward. But not with this one. It depends on the operator. If you can hear something but the extension and the boom operate smoothly. The older sensors definitely help to soften the hits, but this just functions even better.
