John Deere operators report 22% higher output and 9% less fuel use with the X9, S7, and T5 combines. The fully automated harvest settings and predictive ground-speed control deliver broken-grain rates below 1%, while the double-rotor system and crawler tracks provide steady, smooth operation.

Since this is fully automated, it greatly simplifies things for us and we achieve maximum capacity during the peak harvest period.
We've got fully automated harvester settings and ground speed control on it. We're finding about 22% more output with that and using about 9% less diesel.
We found that the combine chooses parameters automatically that we as operators would not set this way ourselves. The double rotor combine is a very good system for always achieving the goal of producing no more than 1% broken grain.
The cutting platform table remains steady and the machine runs smoothly. That's certainly part down to the cutting platform and of course the crawler tracks. And in terms of operation, everything is very clear and intuitive.
We didn't expect the output that we've got. We didn't expect it to perform nowhere near to the performance that it has done. I just feel that John Deere have raised the bar with the combines.
The new feature of harvest settings automation gives me, as the operator, that warm feeling that the combine is constantly fighting for that sample that I want to achieve while also taking into consideration grain losses.
I'm quite impressed with the new predictive ground speed. That is quite a jump forward from the previous Harvest Smart on our S790.
My first impressions from this new model, big improvements in the cab. We've got the Gen 5 screen, which has got a lot of information on there.
