This is a YouTube video titled "How to Choose Between the ATU 300 & ATC 300 | John Deere" created in September 2023. It features a discussion between Haley and Kade about the Universal Auto Track Controller 300 and AutoTrack Universal 350 systems for tractors, explaining their features, benefits, and how to choose between the two kits for assisted steering in agricultural machinery.
Hi, I'm Haley and this is the Straight Track series where we try to make technology more accessible in one straight track paths down the field. There are several ways to equip your machine with Auto track. Today we are here with Kade to discuss our Universal Auto Track Controller 300 and AutoTrack Universal 350. We are in the state of Iowa with an 8640 Soundguard body tractor that can be equipped with either ATU 300 or ATC 300.
AutoTrac is an assisted steering system that greatly increases operator productivity by maintaining consistent accuracy and efficiency. It's designed to save time and fatigue by allowing you to focus on the implement settings and varying field conditions. It also reduces soil compaction and lowers input costs by minimizing overlap and skipped rows.
How does one choose between the Universal AutoTrac kits? AutoTrac Controller 300 or AutoTrack Universal 300.
Both kits are designed to make AutoTrack more accessible. ATU 300 and ATC 300 allow you to auto track with older machines, competitive machines, and machines that don't come equipped with autotrac from the factory. Customers can leverage these kits to capture the benefits that we mentioned before without having to purchase a newer machine. Autotrac Universal 300 is the most affordable option and it takes place of the machine steering to use Autotrac in the field. ATU 300 is compatible with a vast number of model years and machine types. With the Autotrac controller 300, the customers are paying for functionality and aesthetics. ATC 300 feels like it's a part of the machine. The customer can experience the benefits of autotrac while using their machine's original steering wheel.
So if the equipment is compatible with both ATU 300 and ATC 300, the customer just has to decide how much they're willing to pay for the factory equipped look and feel.
That's exactly right, Haley. The integrated look and feel means more cab space for your legs and easier access to the operator controls.
Well, thanks for your time and thanks for keeping it straight track.
