How To Send a File to Your Machine | John Deere Operations Center™

Learn how to send files wirelessly from John Deere Operations Center to your machine using JDLink. The video walks through selecting machines, sending files, and how operators get notified to download them.
In this video, we are going to cover how to send a file from the operations center to a machine via wireless data transfer. This process eliminates the need for an owner, dealer, or trusted partner to visit the machine with a USB to transfer data from the operations center. Using wireless data transfer will require an active JDLink subscription on the machine and at least equipment level one permissions with the checkbox for setup, file creator products and wireless data transfer selected in the operations center organization that owns the machine in the operations center. There are several ways to send an existing file to a machine. First, we will cover how to send a file from the Map tab. Here we will search for the machine using the filter panel. We can search by machine name or serial number, then click the select box next to Name. This will allow us to select the machine or machines to send a file. To select our machine we want to send a file to and click the Send File icon at the top of the machine list. Here we will select our file to be sent. We can also send a file by selecting the machine on the map and click on the Send File icon. The other way to send a file to Maschine is by going into Files, select our file that we want to send to the machine, go to Actions Transfer to Equipment, and finally select our machine. Once the file has been successfully sent to the machine, the operator will receive a notification on the display indicating that there is a file available for download. The operator can choose to download this file at any time while the machine is on. Thanks for watching.
