A walkthrough of the Products tool in Operations Center Web, showing how to add and manage agricultural inputs like varieties, chemicals, and fertilizers. Covers editing, archiving, and using the Tank Mix generator to streamline farm operations.
Products is your tool to keep track of the inputs in your operation. Products in Operations Center Web displays an active and historical record of your varieties, chemicals, fertilizers and tank mixes. Setting up your products online will allow you to plan fieldwork ahead of time and improve the quality of your documentation data. This foundational setup step will also save you and your team from having to manually enter seed, varieties and other items in the cab. In this video, we will cover how to add, edit and archive products and tank mixes. Navigate to the Products Tool by going to the Setup menu. The Products Tool features filter buttons. The filters narrow down the list of products you'd like to see. You may use the Search feature to find a particular product or filter by crop type, manufacturer, and more. Search results are displayed in the Product List. The Products list has headings that allow you to sort by product name, manufacturer, date, and more. For easy analysis, Products and Tank mixes are broken out into separate lists and you can switch between the two. Let's review how to add a new product. First, make sure you have selected the Products button and then select Add a Product. In this example, we will add a new chemical. Depending on your location, a pre populated library of manufacturers may be available. If the manufacturer you are looking for is not in the list or the list is not available, you may add the chemical as a custom product. The chemical registration number automatically adds from the library if it's available. You also have the option to manually enter a registration number for detailed documentation and record keeping. Tank mixes can be created in two different via the Products page or the Tank Mix page. To generate a Tank Mix from the Products page, select the products you would like to include in the Tank Mix. Then select Generate Tank Mix. After that a new window opens where you edit the ingredients in Tank Mix Review and select Save. Enter a rate for the overall solution rate for the Tank Mix. This is the rate at which the Tank Mix is applied from the applicator. If needed, add any additional products to the Tank Mix by selecting Select Products for each product included in the Tank Mix, add a desired rate and units of measure. The default carrier is water, but you can select another. The Tank Mix Generator features a tool that helps calculate how much product to add to the tank based on your Select Tank size and rates. It can also calculate area coverage and how many tanks will be needed. Enter a name for the Tank Mix. If desired, select the target crops for the Tank Mix. Finally, select Save to add the Tank Mix to the list. In Products. You can also add a Tank Mix from the Tank Mix page select the Add a Tank Mix button to follow the same workflow. You have direct access to the Tank Mix calculator here as well for quick and easy planning. The process for editing a product or a tank mix is relatively the same. Select the item's name. A new pop up will appear where you can select Edit to change the brand, solution rates, and more. If you are no longer using a product or tank Mix, you can archive it to hide it from the list. Select an item to make the Archive button available. This helps keep your product list up to date and avoid any mixing errors. To view archived products, select the View Archived Filter button. You can bring any item out of the archive with the Make Available button. It is important to remember that archiving a product does not remove the product from any previously recorded operations. Using the Products tool coupled with the Setup File Creator allows you to send products and tank mixes wirelessly to a machine. You can also use Work Planner to create predefined work plans for your operations and seamlessly send them to Generation 4 displays. We'll cover both of these options in future videos. In this video, you have learned a few things to help you start managing your products in Operations Center. Thanks for watching.
