Hey, I'm Gene with Sunsouth. Today we're going to show you all how to properly sharpen the lawnmower blade. First thing you want to do is make sure your blade has no bends, no real bad cuts or nicks. Make sure that the lip on the back is not worn completely down. Right now, I'm going to show you how to sharpen a blade. First, make sure it's secure in your vise. You don't want it coming out sat. When you're doing your grinding, make sure that you match your angle of grab your grinder with the angle on the blade and make a solid pass from one side to the other, making sure that you keep your angle at the same with each pass. All right, now I'm gonna flip the blade over. I'm gonna also check this side like I checked the other. It is. Has no nicks or wears in it. Gonna secure it real good. We're gonna go back to the angle when you're grinding and make sure that you have it. Now that we've grounded, you want to make sure that your blade is level. Need to take it out of your vise. Find you something. You want to hold your blade like this. See that blade's level. If it wasn't level, it would drop to one side, and it'll cause vibration.
