Justin Ruweld of Glenvale Farms runs a family operation with his parents and wife, growing wheat, barley, canola, faba beans, and lentils. Since 2002 they've used no-till disc machinery to conserve moisture, rotating crops annually: 50% cereals, 25% canola, 25% legumes.

Kia ora, Justin Ruwald here, one of the co-owners of Glenvale Farms in conjunction with my parents, Rob and Wendy, my wife Katie. Since 2002, no-till disc machines, you know, moisture conservation's sort of paramount for the operation. Our wheat, barley, canola, faba beans, and lentils are the prime crops that we operate in. It's generally a 50% sort of cereal fraction to the rotation mixed in with 25% canola and 25% legume on a yearly basis, sort of rotate those crop sequences through.
