Daniel Harp from SunSouth John Deere walks through daily maintenance for the 3032E tractor: checking engine oil, air filters, cooling system, fuel filters, and transmission fluids to keep your equipment running.
I'm Daniel Harp from SunSouth John Deere dealership. A tractor is an investment and in order to protect that investment, you have to do some periodic maintenance. So today we're going to go over some key maintenance items. You might want to check on your tractor periodically. Part of your daily maintenance is checking your engine oil. The dipstick is located right here and it's best to do that when the engine is cool. To give you a more accurate reading. Your air filter is placed up here in the front of the engine compartment. Be sure and check it frequently for cleanliness and replace it when the outer element is dirty. But also been doing some heavy bush hogging or something. A lot of dusty area. You have a dust unloading valve right here. You just squeeze it like so and release a lot of the loose dirt. Next, here we have your cooling system, the reservoir. Right here you have a full cold and a full hot. When your engine's cold it should be at this line here. And when your engine's hot it should be between these two lines. Be sure and use John Deere Cool Guard 2. And here you have your radiator itself. Part of the maintenance of that is keeping it clean. As you can see, your radiator keep it clean by just using a water hose or compressed air. Do not use a pressure washer as it could bend the fins and damage your radiator. Next, here we have your fuel filters. You have your inline filter here and you have your filter here. Be sure and check this bowl daily or often for sediment or water. If that's water, be sure to drain the fuel out of it. Change the paper filter and then the fuel system is a self priming fuel system. You just turn your key on for 10 or 15 seconds. It'll purge all the air out and you can start your tractor. Located right here you have a dipstick to check the oil in the front axle. It uses John Deere eyeguard. Right here you have a dipstick to check your transmission fluids. It uses John Deere High Guard and located on the left hand side of your operator station. Underneath you have two filters. That's also for your transmission fluid. There are a couple service intervals to keep in mind. After your first 50 hours, change your two transmission filters and your High Guard transmission fluid. And after 200 hours or annually, whichever comes first, have your tractor serviced by your service department. We just hit some high spots and some key features on service on your John Deere 3032E's or your 3E series. We highly recommend you become familiar and read through thoroughly your operator's manual, and if you have any questions or concerns, you can contact your local SunSouth John Deere dealership. We'll be glad to answer any questions we can.
