Jamie from Sun South compares the John Deere 1023E and 3043D tractors, covering their horsepower, transmission types, and loader and PTO options to help buyers pick between them.
Hi, I'm Jamie. I'm with the sun south in Brundage. Today we're going to compare two tractors. We're going to compare the 1023E and the 3043D. They look very similar but they're actually very different tractors. This one is only 23 horsepower where this one is 43, so it's a large horsepower jump. It's got a hydrostatic transmission with pedals for your forward and reverse on this tractor as opposed to a gear driven transmission on the 3043D. They do both have front end loaders which are very handy and both use the same quick attach pins on the front where you can change out the different front end implements. They both compatible with our grapples and our pallet forks and things like that. Both tractors feature a category one hitch and rear PTO. This tractor, the 1023, also has the option for a mid PTO where you could operate a drive over mower deck. We keep both of these tractors in stock. Come see us at your local Sun South. We'll be glad to help you out.
