John Deere 30G Equipment Walk-Around

Hey guys, how's everybody doing? This is Philip with SunSouth John Deere down here in Dothan. Just going to do a real quick walk around today of our 30G compact excavator that we carry here at SunSouth. On one of the features of John Deere's lineup, this particular unit is a 23 horsepower unit. It's configured right now with just a standard arm. This is a reduced tail swing machine. So we'll talk about that more as we go around. First off, I want to hit on the bucket. We use John Deere's quick attach system. So in this system it is a wedge locked design. So you can see you've got your locking block, two small inch pins and a bolt that runs all the way through. So over time it starts wearing out, sinks down that bolt and it eliminates all the play and slop out of the machine. So your standard hydraulics that are loaded into the boom come out the side. So you've got that implement versatility of, you know, hydraulic hammers, you know, small cutter heads, you know, all kind of implements that you can use and run coming down to the side of the machine. So you've got your fuel, everything is under a lockable compartment. So when you're leaving it on the job site, you can keep it locked up, don't have to worry about anybody contaminating your fuel. You've got a hydraulic oil sight glass right here to the side. So your uptime, keeping your guys in the machine, keeping them going. Less downtime on maintenance, having to manually check everything. They can physically just lay their eyes right there, check out where your hydraulic oil is at. The door swings open, you got plenty of room to get to your coolers, your battery, your fuel water separator, which is important, keeping clean fuel on the machine helps with the longevity of them. Coming around the back. Right here you can see, as I said, it's a reduced tail swing. So right now it's not pitched all the way around, but you can see in a full circle. The rear of the machine will never be over the tracks, which is key when you're in those tight spaces. Maybe you're working in a warehouse, you know, digging some footers and you need to be careful with the machine. So right now, as it says, it's reduced tail swing. Now adding counterweights to the back of the machine will affect that your weights will swing off. So coming up here, going back to the maintenance and upkeep with your operators, you got a periodic maintenance chart. So the longevity of these machines the low cost of maintenance. Engine oil every 500 hours, hydraulic oil every 2,000 hours, guys. So keeping your machine in the field, keeping it longer, little pop up hatch, everything's easy to get to. Oil filter. You got your oil sticks, your dust unloader, valve air filter, your oil fill. Like I said, easy to get to, coming around to the side. So Deere has even increased the uptime on transferring the machine from job site to job site. Tie downs built into the side of the Trax machine, built into the blade of the machine. This is just going to be your standard backfill blade. Angle blades are available on models 35G and up. Also guys, real quick want to touch on a couple things. So with the cab, so a lot of times you're going to have operators in the machine and then you're guys on the ground when you're, you know, different job sites, stuff like that. Notice the door locks open in position so you don't have it flapping open. The front window also retracts up into the ceiling locks in place. So if you got a guy down in a manhole that you're digging, looking at some things also you got hand control. So when you got both hands on the sticks, you can control the machine with your feet.
