John Deere 331G Product Overview

Hey guys, this is Philip coming to you from Sunset John Deere here in Dothan, Alabama. Gonna hit on a few points today of one of our large frame track loading machines. This part of the compact construction line offered from John Deere. We've been able to stock these and sell these units over the last couple months. Just gonna hit on some of the key features. This particular machine is a 331G. So it's a large frame machine. 91 horsepower. It's got some pretty cool features with it. Starting with comfort cab, completely pressured, sealed with the door air ride seat. Also comes with a heated seat. Not that we need it in south Alabama, but it's nice. Backup camera, electro hydraulic controls, foot controls so you can adjust to operator preference. You know, if you're kind of used to that old school foot control, you've got that. Or if you're like the new modern age patterns, you got all kinds of different opportunities with it so you can accommodate a number of different users. Some of the safety features in the cab, for some reason you're in a tight spot. You ever need to get out, throw your two red levers, the door pops out. Or you can pop out the back glass and get out that way coming toward the front of the machine. This is a power quick attach model. So unlike the standard manual where you got different handles that you got to pull and over time they get rusty, they get debris, get beat up. Completely sealed off, electronically actuated from the cab, so you can hook up to whatever attachments you need to. The only time you need to get get out of the cab is whenever you have to hook up any kind of attachments that are hydraulically controlled, like this grapple. This machine is equipped with high flow hydraulics. So in your high flow hydraulics you can run your cold planters, your mulch heads, which are real common around here. Power rakes, numerous different attachments that we carry via John Deere and some other companies. Great different, makes it more versatile. Great versatile machines. This machine, like I said, it's a 91 horsepower and it is high flow. But the high flow hydraulics are achieved when you're only running about 74 engine horsepower. So you're actually running about mid throttle, which is great because if you really get in something that's bogs the kind of machine down, you can run the throttle up, get plenty of power to get through it. Talk about breakout force. So with the bucket, you're about £6,000 breakout force. And you can go all the way up to £10,000 of rollout force with a foundry bucket. So plenty of strength. Digging in clay pits, doing any kind of land leveling. Like I said, versatile machine, strong machine. Coming over to the side of the machine, you can see all of your case lines. Everything you need are secure. So they're up out of the way from debris, stuff like that. You don't have to worry about anything. Grabbing lines, ripping any kind of hydraulic lines, losing any kind of fluid, any kind of electrical wiring down here on the tracks. So These are a 450 millimeter long life, easy ride track. So you're going to get a good ride, plenty of stability, but you got plenty of traction too for any of those tricky places. So we run on these large million machines. You got five idler wheels at the bottom. So long life track sag adjustments are easy. Pop these two bolts out, get into what you need to. Really great system for this big of a machine. So this is an 11,000 pound machine. You're only putting down about 4.9 pounds per pressure a square inch on the track. So even though it's a heavy, she's light footed, she'll get out of spots. You don't have to worry about tearing up turf or anything like that. All right, so now we're at the back of the machine, guys. So with these machines, they're big investments, they're big workers. So serviceability and eliminating downtime is key because longer your machine's running, the more money you're making. So coming to the back, all of your daily checkpoint stuff is easy access. Everything is color coded. It seems like a small thing, but with it being color coded, your hydraulic oil, all that kind of stuff, diesel fuel, it helps that rookie operator, that new guy on the team, be able to do his daily check with confidence, knowing he's got where it's at. Also periodic maintenance up under the hood, so it's easy to get to. So if you don't keep your manual in the cab, or let's just say it gets messed up, keep your periodic maintenance right there so you know what to stay on top of. Air filter and everything is easy to get to. Dust unloader valve on the side of it. So one big thing about these machines, another you might think is a small thing. Diesel fuel cap, it's tethered, you can't lose it. So whoever's filling up the machine, you know, if they're getting in a hurry and you know you don't have to worry about losing the, the fuel cap. So being this is a 91 horsepower machine, it does Require def additive. So you come right down here. Your def tank is completely sealed from any kind of protection, any kind of punctures and harm. It is locked down under the tab. Flip the tab up again, color coordinated, you know it's def. This is also has a locking feature on it so you can run your padlock or master lock right there. So if you're storing machine on site, you don't have to worry about anybody getting in here, contaminating, tampering with it, potentially messing up your machine. Also, transport's a big thing. Got to get the machine from different job sites built in. Tie down points on the back as well as the front of the machine. All right guys, so one other thing I want to go over on this machine that it is equipped with is JD Link. So it's kind of one of probably the undersold features on these machines. So what JDLink offers you the ability to do as an owner operator. So whether you're running a large construction company or maybe you're a mom and pop, but you're in between different job sites. JDLink allows you to constantly monitor this machine through downtime, uptown fuel usage, service alerts. Let's just say worst thing happens, it gets stolen from a job site. Pull up JDLink. It's got equipment tracking with it. JDLink is offered in the machine, but it is subscription service. So you know, whenever you come in, you talk to a salesperson and you're interested in the JD Link, be sure to ask them about it. Ask questions. That way you got all the information you need to know.
