Hey, this is Josh Dean with SunSouth Dothan. Today we're going to be highlighting the John Deere 5055E. As you can see behind me, we have two 5055Es right here. One is a four wheel drive and one is a two wheel drive. Let's talk about the two wheel drive first. Okay. On the John Deere 5055E, this is a 55 engine horsepower E series. As you can see, this model comes in two wheel drive. Now one of the good things about the two wheel drive tractors is they're easy to operate. They come standard with a 9.3 transmission. So you've got nine forward gears, three reverse gears as an option for your transmission. Also on your four wheel drive, when you go to the four wheel drive tractors like beside me, you get the premium option of a 1212 power reverser. So on the two wheel drive you have a dry clutch. On the four wheel drive you have a wet clutch which offers a lot more durability and a lot more longevity with a wet clutch. Features. Some other advantages and differences between the two is on the 9,3 transmission with a two wheel drive you have the manual engagement for your PTO. When you upgrade to a four wheel drive with the power reverser, you've got your easy to turn on power takeoff, your pto. PTO on, PTO off, easy, simple to control. As we move to the back here you can see the majority of the rock shaft housings are the same. On your two wheel drive you have a fixed lift arms. On your four wheel drive you have adjustable lift arms. If you need extra length to hook up to that implement, you have your adjustable lift arms. Once you get hooked up back up to the implement locks in. Those are some of the differences between your two wheel drive and your four wheel drive. Also, one of the good things about the lift capacity on these 5Es is that the lifting capacity is around 3,100 lifting pounds to be able to lift up in the back. So the 5Es have plenty enough power in the back to lift whatever you needed to in the back. Okay. As you notice into the operator station you have a lot wider platform, more room for the operator during the controls and operating the tractor. One of the good things about the 1212 power reverser is that shuttle shift lever reverse forward, no clutching. When you're trying to do a lot of load work and you're trying to move forward and reverse, you don't have a lot of gears, you have to change forward and reverse. If you need a little bit more room. John Deere had that planned out. We have tilt steering. You've also got your throttle roll dial throttle up, throttle back right here by the operator. Easy to control on your loader stick. You've also got an ergonomically designed Hamm handle for ease of comfort and operation for your loader. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to us. And always remember, think SunSouth.
