A John Deere product walkthrough of the Command Pro joystick for 6R tractors. The speaker covers ergonomic design, acceleration controls, creeper control, and customizable buttons for operators and contractors.
So with the 6230R and the 6250R, we introduced the brand new Command Pro. So a brand new drive strategy for John Deere tractors. Let's have a bit of a closer look at how it works. The first thing you'll notice about our new Command Pro joystick is that it is the most ergonomic solution on the market. It fits perfectly into my hand here and we can reach all the buttons without moving my hand position. We worked very closely with our contractor advisors when developing the new Command Pro, so it perfectly fits the needs of a contractor customer. So how does the new Command Pro work? Before we look at some of our unique features, let's have a look at how to get the tractor moving and the basics. If we want to accelerate the tractor, it's just a case of pushing the joystick forward. Each nudge forward here will accelerate the tractor to go at a faster speed. The same goes if we want to decelerate the tractor. We just a case of pulling the the Command Pro backwards. And again, each nudge backwards will decelerate the machine. So all of these commands, they might sound familiar to you already, but this is really only the tip of the iceberg. We have many unique features which differentiate us from other solutions in the market. The first unique feature is actually my favorite one, and that's the ability to reach the top speed of the tractor with just one push of our Command Pro joystick. So how do we do it? Depending on which transmission you have, whether that's 40k or 50k, we can reach the top speed by hitting the detent that's at the top end of our axis. So for example, you've got a loaded trailer, you're coming out of a field with a 50k transmission. It's just a case of pushing the joystick forward, hits the detent and we'll reach the top speed of the machine. The acceleration really is unbeatable. The same goes for when you come to slow down, you need to slow down. It's just a case of pulling the joystick right back. And we have a detent at the rear end of the axis too. So you can accelerate quick and then you can slow down quick as well. The ability to change from the joystick mode here on the command arm or foot pedal mode on the ground really is simple. You won't see any buttons on the command arm here to switch modes. It's just a case of using which one is suitable to the situation. You can chop and change however many times you want. Another great feature that we have is creeper control. You'll notice that if I pull the joystick in towards me here, we have a different axis. So this is a different axis compared to our main accelerate and decelerate functionality. So what's this for? So creeper control is for using when we want to hitch up to a trailer or an implement. So if I pull the joystick to the left hand side and then backwards in our additional axis, we have between 0 and 2 kilometers an hour. We use this when we're hitching up a trailer to do it in a smooth and controlled way. The great thing about it is that as soon as I let go of the joystick, it'll then go back to center. So when you get to where you want to be, you can just let go of the the Command Pro and it'll go back to center, which means you do everything in a smooth control and safe way. Finally, reconfigurability. It's an important part of the Command Pro joystick. We have the ability to reconfigure all of these buttons which you see here, and other ones which are on the back side of the joystick too. In total, 11 reconfigurable buttons. These can be set up however the customer wants, so they can be set up to control SCVs, rear hitch, ISOBUS functionality, autotrack, PTO, the list goes on. All of the main tractor functions can all be controlled from here and changed to suit different applications and operators. And the best thing about it all is that we can save these settings in our Command center display. So we all know that different implements require different functionality and different operators will have different preferences. So you can set Command Pro up how you like and then save it in our Command center display. Then when you jump in the tractor in the morning, you can then just reload your settings so you don't have to input them every time you jump in the machine. This was just an overview of the main highlights of the new Command Pro joystick. I'd really encourage you to experience it for yourself and and get a really good feel for it. I'd say you'll be pretty impressed.
