This is a YouTube video titled "John Deere 830 MoCo" created on July 9, 2020, featuring Drew Shirley from SunSouth in Tuscaloosa. The content is a detailed presentation and product overview of the John Deere 630Moco hay implement attached to a tractor, explaining its features, benefits, and operational tips for hay making.
Hi, this is Drew shirley. I'm with SunSouth in Tuscaloosa. I'm going to go over a couple of hay implements in a tractor here for you today. Today we're going to talk about the 630Moco. It's actually hooked to a 50, 90M with a 540M loader. Loader's got the global attachments for quick, quick attach, tractor setup, buddy seat, rear fender, PTO and triple rears, triple rear hydraulic valves. This particular Moco is set up with the three point hitch type lift comes in two different types of hitches. It's got this hitch and then it has one that actually goes to the drawbar. Depending on how sharp a turns you're making, depends on which one you need to go to. So talk to your salesman about that and he'll absolutely recommend the one that's right for you. One thing that is industry exclusive to John Deere is the modular cutter bar. And what that means is each individual one of these heads can be individually serviced so they bolt together. This cutter bar is not one piece. So if you have a cutter, if you have a cutter, bar, module go out, gear go out, you can actually remove that individual piece and service it as opposed to having to rebuild the whole head. That is a absolute game changer for when you're down. And we all know when you have hay on the ground or it's time to cut hay, you got plenty of time. Well, you don't. You got to get it up and you got to get it up in a hurry. This is going to help you service this machine better. I want to walk around. This machine here is a center pivot machine, which means you can actually mow down and turn around and come back. So you can mow on one side of the tractor and then when you turn around and come back, you can move and mow on the other side of the tractor. So you're not wasting time making circles in the field. We all know that when you cut your hay like that, that's how it's going to dry. So the first hay you cut is going to be the first hay you dry. If you're doing it in a circle pattern, the closer you get to the middle of your field, the more wet the hay is going to be. And then as you get towards the end of the field, the more dry the hay going to be. And that's going to be detrimental, especially if you're putting up haylage coming around here to the back. There are two type of condition. There are Three type of conditioners. Now, we just added one last year. We have the rubber rollers, which is what this one is actually spec'd with. It is designed to crimp the hay, the large stemming material, and squeeze that juice out of there to improve your drying time. Once again, it's always fixing the rain, especially in the south. You gotta get it up when you get that window. You gotta make hay when the sun's shining. The other two options we have are impellers, which basically thrash the hay, breaks the waxy coating, increases the dry time. And we have the steel chevron pattern, which basically is the same way, but it gets a lot more crimp and a lot more mash, if you will, on the crop as it's coming through. You also have an adjustment for your windrow size so you can actually adjust these two arms here in or out, to make your windrow or your swath wider or more narrow. You can also adjust how high it throws it up into that by that top shield. So you can adjust and make your windrow or your swath any size that you want to fit your rake or to fit your other implements. A lot of guys don't realize that your rake needs to match your cutter. So if you have an 18 foot wide rake, you need to be two 9 foot wide windrows where that can bring two windrows in and merge them together. It is on a suspension kit. It is easily locked out for highway towing, has a three year warranty on the cutter bar, and is the most reliable moco on the market. If you need to make hay, you need to call SunSouth. If you're thinking, hey, think Sunsouth, call us. My name is Drew Shirley. Call us at SunSouth here in Tuscaloosa.
