John Deere Africa | African Farming | Episode 1 | John Deere Tractor Range | Advanced Technologies

As we saw with Clifford, just from his operations, one could tell Clifford is already a successful farmer. The beauty for it is that he became successful using John Deere equipment. And for us that is very, very important. We did mention to Clifford that even though he has John Deere equipment that I beat age, we could come in with already existing technology that he could fit or only John Deere tractors that will help him to save costs. One is a John Deere auto truck. The John Deere auto truck is a satellite guidance solution that is available to be fitted on both new and old John Deere tractors. The beauty about that is that you don't just need to have a John Deere tractor to fit these guylines on. Could be a different tractor of any different color that you could use and then get all the benefits that come with it. Fuel efficiency, cost saving in terms of wear and tear on the machines because you don't have a lot of overlaps. Another technology that we talked about, since Clifford was involved or is involved in crop production, he could adapt or go for the John Deere Combine Advisor. This is a technology that is fitted and very modern John Deere tractors. Which means obviously Clifford will need to upgrade his combine to what he currently has to the very new models. And that combine will come with this technology which is sort of advising the combine on how to ensure grain quality. And in addition to that, the combine will give you data that you can use to marry the data that you get from your planter to used for the next season. So the technology is actually helping you to optimize your AO. Don't forget to watch African Farming on DSTV channel 1C3 every Thursday at 6:30pM.
