Jem Swabala My name is Jem Swabala. I've joined the finance for two years now based in Nairobi sales office. What I do is to support farmers access finance and also address the challenge of addressing finance from the bank. In addition, we support the farmers by reducing the cost of finance which is a big challenge on this side of the world. Jondia Financial in collaboration with the Stanbik Bank has put in place measures to support farmers in terms of accessing finance by reducing the requirements that a normal commercial bank will look at and also ensure that the cost of interest charged by the bank is reduced to enable the farmer to invest further in their farming activity. The farmer mostly comes from the dealership that is our dealer maskob. The dealer will issue a quote after visiting the farmer and identify the need of the farmer in terms of the equipment that the farmer requires. At that point, the farmer will be introduced to the Stanbik Bank, a contact person for Kenya who is a mill cent euro. The mill cent will now be able to engage the farmer and evaluate the affordability in terms of what kind of equipment the farmer is looking at, the cash flow that the farmer is looking at, the repayment frequency that the farmer is looking at and from there start the documentation collection. So, through these arrangements, we invite all the farmers to come and work with us. We have our dealer located in Nakuru, Kisumu, Eldoret, Narok, Timau, Nanyuki and they are fully stocked, ready to support the farmers and deliver the equipment. The after -sales support is in place and the financing solution is in place. So, we welcome all the farmers to come and join and be part of the John Deere family to support them and be able to deliver what they are working on.
