John Deere Africa Middle East | 460E-ll ADT | Features

Ian Marshall, a John Deere product manager, walks through the 460E-ll articulated dump truck. Built for tough terrain, it emphasizes productivity, safety, operator comfort, and advanced control systems for efficient hauling.
Put productivity in the fastlane with our E Series adts. These machines were made to keep your materials moving through the toughest of terrains while being safer and smoother than ever before. Iain Marshall, a wheeled and tracked product manager and Engineer with over 30 years of experience, is here to reveal the phenomenal capabilities of the second generation 460E to us today, boosting productivity and uptime while minimizing daily operating costs. The the second generation 460E ADT. My name is Ian Marshall, ADT engineer and behind me we have the new John Deere 460E ADT. The E Series dump trucks have all the electronic features of any contemporary modern adt, features which aid productivity, safety, economy and performance on the job site. The 460e has three different drive modes, Normal economy and traction and all of these help less skilled drivers perform really well on difficult site conditions as if they were experts. This 460e behind me has the largest bin capacity and payload of all the dump trucks in the 45 ton ADT class, with the payload around about 800 kg larger than the next competitor truck. John Deere E series trucks are the most serviceable trucks on the market. All service can be conducted from ground level and there's no need to climb up on any stairs or platforms to get to anything at the front of the truck there are side doors and a front panel and a bonnet that opens up to expose everything that you need to get to during a service. Inside the cab a lot of focus was put into operator comfort and all the controls are kept to a minimum as far as safety and built in protection systems. This 460e along with the other E series ADTs has some very useful systems built into the cab controls features such as hill ascent control so that when the driver is going uphill and he slows down and stops, the park brake comes on automatically and as soon as he's able to pull away again, he drives be able to drive through the park brake without any chance of the truck running away backwards down the hill. The E Series trucks also have hill descent control whereby an operator driving down a hill the computer on the truck senses what speed the operator is comfortable to drive at and the truck will regulate its transmission retarder and brakes if necessary to actually hold the truck at that desired speed. Also again with no chance of the truck being able to run away. There are also bin pit tip protections that if the truck is not on an even surface that the truck will not allow the bin to be tipped and have the possibility of the bin rolling over. A lot of research and development went into the E series dump trucks over many years. This is the culmination of all that work and on this truck you will not find any feature which is missing or you might find on another make of dump truck. This truck will have it all, boosting productivity and uptime while minimizing daily operating costs. It is clear to see why The E Series ADT's is at a class of its own.
