It is with this in mind at the AGRF 2021 that the John Deere, in partnership with AGRA, designed a contest where a group of young people would compete to win a John Deere tractor with the model 5050D.
John Deere is a world renowned brand, the manufacturer of tractors, implement. We also do construction machinery and we do golf and turf machines.
We've been very, very pleased to have partnerships with John Deere which are critical to increasing the use of tractors and mechanization for smallholder farmers across Africa. We were so pleased that John Deere came through not just with tractor, but an idea for a competition for youth entrepreneurs to compete for that tractor.
The face of agriculture in Africa is largely manual labor.
