As a farmer, when my equipment isn't running, I'm burning daylight and it could be a disaster for me. The difference between making money and and losing money.
Having my equipment in top condition is not negotiable for my business. And after another busy season ends, I like having the deer team out to run a post inspection on all my equipment.
I've got a mix of old and new equipment and I use genuine deer and alternative parts, so I like to know everything is ready for when the season comes. I don't like surprises. Ordering new parts online also helps. That's one less thing I have to worry about.
