It's Epele Morgan Bonanyi. I'm farming in Taung Irrigation Scheme. I've been farming with wheat and barley and maize. Currently we've planted now different crops, now deff, we've planted ground nuts, we've planted the small ones. I grew up in a farming family. Passion, my commitment and my love of farming, it comes far away where I grew up. We started from nowhere. We started for anything. The first year after we've established the company, we are lucky for Chondia when they hear about us, that we are in need of mechanization. They assist us with 100 ,000 rent for mechanization purposes. They did help us with harvesting on the ground. The only thing for us that we were supposed to do was just to fill diesel for us and to pay for a driver. So it helped us on an input cost. We went there for the first year, we planted 80 hectares of wheat by then and luckily the second year we go on to 220 planted maize and the following year which was the third season we planted wheat, 700 hectares. And during that time Chondia realized that this small company that is coming up is growing up. They came and said to the guys, we can see now you are doing something better then we are in a position to assist you. We didn't know much about the technical side but bringing Chondia on board it has opened our eyes now that nowadays technology, technology, technology. Technology is going to improve and improve our farming in our country. We've been pleased with Chondia. We made better income because now we are safe from the harvesting side. As a farmer you contribute to your family, you contribute to the community and anything that you get in or anything that you save or money that you receive at the end of the day it benefits your family, it benefits the community as large. You must have passion for what you are doing. You must be committed to what you are doing. There is hope, there is hope in South Africa for young farmers to come on board. We need to grow, we need to have skill, we need to be developed. So that tomorrow we can be proud of saying we've left something behind.
