Just make sure that everything runs smoothly. I want to do a quick little exercise just to find out who was at our session yesterday. I'm going to launch a quick poll that you will see on the bottom of your screen. I want you to just make sure that you take two seconds now for those of you are here to just vote for whether you attended day one of Nampo Virtual. I'd love to be able to see who we had with us yesterday. Thank you very much. I see the votes are coming through fast and. Yeah, clear. Fantastic. I want to close the poll there for a second. I'm going to share those results with you. So 71% of you said that you did attend Nampo Virtual 2020 Day 1 yesterday and only 29% of you were not there. So just to say to the 29% of those who were not here yesterday, thank you for being here today and I hope that you enjoy the session. Thank you. We have recorded all of the sessions themselves. If you would like to catch up with any single one of them, you're welcome to do so. All of those sessions will be available for you online soon. There are many different opportunities for you to be able to ask those questions and the John Deere team are very committed to ensuring that they get you those answers timelessly, as accurately as possible. So please do use the Q and A section below as you hear the information. Right, so I'm going to kick off today's session with our first speaker. His name is Jakub Beyers. Jaku is the branch sales manager at John Deere and he's going to be discussing the latest products and technology updates that you can expect from John Deere into 2021 and into 2020 and 2021. As he's discussing the product, I'd love for you to be able to ask all the questions that you do have. And so Yaku, I'm going to hand over to you.
Good day. I'm Jakub Beir, responsible for sales for the African continent. In other words, from South Africa all the way to Egypt and Morocco. So new this year and this year is quite an interesting year. So let's talk about 2020 all the way to 2021. Let's start at a small new tractor, a 5D series tractor. We're really excited to launch the 5D from 39 horsepower all the way to 50 horsepower. Something just on top of that is our 6B a tractor designed for Africa from 95 horsepower to 135. Really some great frugal technology that we can also equip those six B series tractors. Now that's the start of the tractor. Right at the end we at the high end we've got this. Well, here's the model next to me of award winning eight R series tractors with some awesome technologies to improve the efficiencies on you, on, on, on the farmer. And what we're really excited about is the ATAR comes with three different machine forms. In other words, there's truly a power of choice for you, the customer from the wheels. The most efficient way to run an operation, two track and four track. And each one of these machine forms has got certain characteristics that makes a more productive farming operation. We would love to engage with you, the farmer to help you understand what machine form it's the right choice for you, the farmer. Now that's just wheels, tires, two track and four track. But then there's something like transmissions. There's a wide var variety of different transmissions to select. It's not Always just the cheapest one. But what's the right choice at the right price for you, the customer and we hope this virtual Nampo as well as our tech terrain episodes. We would love for you to engage and talk to us. So technologies on these products we start off with something as basic as a cell phone and a JD Telelink device that you fit on a 5E series tractor all the way to a cloud based operation center and everything in between. The reason why I'm trying to keep it so broad is because there's truly on each and every product technology we want to integrate. But again power of choice. What is the required technology that you the customer require? Something we are really excited about is first to the industry and we're actually just testing it at this point in South Africa, but ready to run with it and roll it out very very soon is something called constitute sensing on forage harvesters that we believe will have a massive impact on the dairy and cattle industry and would love to share some of those stories and technologies through Nampo Virtual as well as on Tech Terr.
Thank you so much to Yaku for the very important information on the products and I hope that you have got a few questions. If you do, just a reminder at the bottom of your screen you will see that there's a Q and A section. Just click on the Q and A, type your answer. You can do it anonymously as well and one of the team members live on this call will be answering those Q and A's for you. So thank you very very much to you Yaku. Right ladies and gents, it's time to move on to our second speaker for the day. Henty Briat is going to be speaking to us today. He's the manager regional past distribution center. Just speaking more about customer service and trying to understand how you as the farmer can interact with John Deere themselves and all the products and services that they have on offer for you. And again, if you have any questions for him, please don't forget to post those in the Q and A section down below. So over to Henty.
Good day. I'm Henty Breuert and I'm responsible to ensure the on time and correct delivery of parts to John Deere dealers to keep the machines and the equipment our customers investing in up and running and also to minimize downtime in their operations. I'm the manager of John Deere Sports Regional Distribution center in Sub Saharan Africa and we form part of John Deere's global parts distribution network where we are based In Kempton park in Johannesburg. From our facility we provide parts to more than 100 John Deere Dealer outlets across south and Sub Saharan Africa. In order to support this as well as supporting our equipment through their lifetime, we have more than 76,000 different part numbers in inventory to a value of more than a billion rand. And all of that is housed in our facility covering 20,000 square meters. We offer various order options to our dealers and for example, one type of order is when a part is needed urgently and the machine is down in the field and the dealer perhaps does not have the part available in inventory. The dealer can place a machine down order at the warehouse up to 3pm this afternoon and the parts will be delivered latest 1030 tomorrow morning anywhere in the country. Although we only work one operational shift a day, we do offer after hours support service for those critical needed parts, especially during our harvesting and planting seasons. Our warehouse operations handles about 3,000 part numbers on an average day and that equates back to 25,000 individual part numbers. All of this is backed with a focus on various quality, productivity and inventory integrity measures and metrics. Now a warehouse operations department, together with customer service and logistics and inventory management is all committed to deliver on John Deere's brand promise and to ensure distinct customer experience.
