John Deere | Bradley Skinner - 2024 Australian Agriculture & Turf Service Technician of the Year

I think just the most rewarding thing that I love about my job is leaving machine, knowing I've put my best into it and it's actually running and now it's making the farmer happy. I'm Bradley Skinner from Africa Equipment in Esperance and I'm an Aganturf field technician. Yeah. So I grew up in Esperance, played footy at the local footy club out there. Like, there's a lot of farmers involved with that club. So with my work as well, like being in field service, I get to go to their farms and it's just several of my mates I like growing up with, they're all driving tractors and owning farms and things like that. So good to grow up in a small town like that. Yeah. First take awards. Yeah. Very privileged, I reckon, just to see the calibre of all the other technicians as well. So by. And the years of experience I have and the amount of experience I've got, the winner for tonight's Ag and Turf Service Technician of the Year for Australia is Bradley Skinner. Very humbled to be standing up here tonight. I know this is a moment I'm going to cherish for a very long time to come. I'm humbled and surreal, like, just. Yeah, I've actually put all this work and effort in and it's paid off in the long run. So what's next for Brad is going back doing field service, have an apprentice back over my shoulder, teaching them. Share this experience with all my colleagues back at the esports branch. A lot of them are real, real proud. Like, I've already got messages from them already. It's just. It's real surreal. So take all the opportunity you can do, give the best. When you do them, there's no guarantee about it ever happening again, so just do it.
