John Deere | C441R Wrapping Baler

John Deere walks through the C441R wrapping baler, a machine designed to wrap hay and silage bales. The video covers its performance features, durability, how to operate it, and the technical specs that matter to farmers and contractors.
We at John Deere challenged ourselves to make the ultimate wrapper baler. And here it is. The all new C441R. The focus for the design concept of this machine was performance, durability and ease of operation. The baler combines the Premium fixed chamber F441R remaining with the 18 rollers for true multi crop performance with the John Deere table transport system concept. All built within one frame by John Deere. So why would you choose to buy a C441R? The pickup 2.2 metre Camtrac pickup running with five rows of time bars six millimetre tines. This is offering fantastic performance in the long heavy first cut all the way through to the shorter lighter third cut you will recognise. On the C441R, we are using our well proven inline high capacity rotor. This brings the rotor closer to the pickup ensuring quick crop transfer and no dead spots for crop to build up. We're using hardox rototynes. One of the unique properties of this material is elasticity, giving you more durability to any foreign debris that may enter the pickup. On the pickup we're using stainless steel stripper bands giving us excellent corrosion resistance. This baler has been configured with a 1000rpm PTO driveline, reducing the torque requirement to drive the baler and also reducing the strain on the tractor. All baler operators know one of the most likely places to block the machine is in the corners. With our full width drop floor, the full width of underneath the rotor actually lowers not just the centre, allowing the operator to clear the blockage from the cab with ease. On the C441R we have two knife configuration options, either 13 or 25 knives. This gives you a theoretical length of chop between 40 and 80 millimetres. These options provide a high chop quality designed to produce excellent silage. Individual spring loaded knives protect them from any foreign debris entering the pickup. Only the knife which is impacted retracts before then re entering the bank to continue chopping silage. So what does this mean for you? A strong durable pickup able to tackle the largest swaths. Netting a bale is one of the most important aspects of the baling operation. Based on the feedback we got from the field, we've redesigned our system with one focus. Simplicity steps on both the left and right hand side of the baler. Designed to be a true operators machine, netting the baler is really easy. It's as simple as releasing the handbrake on the side of the machine to roll the net in between. Two rollers into the bale chamber. Designed and engineered to deliver outstanding durability. The bale chamber on the C441R uses quality components with no compromises. Materials you can't see include heavy duty rollers mounted on 50 millimetre bearings. Four out of the 18 rollers mounted on reinforced rollers using 55mm bearings like this one shown here. All of these bearings can be removed from the side of the baler. By undoing these three bolts and using a bearing removal tool, we can wind the bearing out to replace it. When it comes to chain technology, the C441R is using the well proven diamond chains, easily adjustable. With this visual aid, the C441R is able to produce bales between 1.25 and 1.35 metres. It's a baler built for density. Not only do you get improvements in silage quality with dense bales, you also reduce your total costs, requiring less net less film, less logistical operation involved in moving the bales from the field. Wouldn't it be nice not to have to negotiate film rolls into the side of the baler? With our control panels on both sides of the machine, we can control all of the major functions on the baler, including our unique hydraulic foldable film storage. It's the attention to detail that makes this a true operator's baler. The smooth and efficient John Deere table transfer system collects the bale from underneath the bale chamber before then bringing it back up to the end of the machine to have the film applied by the wrapping satellites. The table has been designed to ensure the bale sits deep within it. This is to give you the reassurance when tackling those undulating and uneven grounds, that the bale will not leave the table. Once the table has reached the back of the baler, the wrapping satellites will apply the film at an incredible 40 RPM. The C441R can be configured with either a single or tandem axle, reducing soil compaction and scrubbing. Both of these options sit within three metres. With the tandem axle, it's smoother during road transport due to less load on the drawbar. Whether you're a farmer or a contractor, if you're wanting to drive more productivity, quality and efficiency out of your baling operation, the C4 4 1R is the baler for you, delivering more uptime, performance and reducing your total cost of operation. The C441R is a baler truly built by the voice of the.
