This is a YouTube video titled "John Deere Financial | Brimblecombe family case study" featuring multiple speakers from the Brimblecombe family and a John Deere Financial manager. The content, created in early 2025, discusses the challenges and legacy of farming across generations in Queensland, Australia, the transition of farm management within the family, and the role of John Deere Financial in supporting farmers with financing solutions. It highlights personal stories, farm management insights, and the convenience of modern financial services for agricultural equipment.
Farming is not an easy path. It comes with struggles, it comes with challenges. But I think part of that success is overriding those challenges, keeping your eye on the future. Empowerment of the next generation is just something so key to this conversation. Hi, I'm Linton Brimalko. Our property is called Mora and we trade as Mora Farming and we're based in Forest Hill, Queensland, Australia. We got a bit of history here and great, great grandpa came in with the gold rush, heading to Ballarat in the mid to late 1800s. My grandfather, my dad's dad. As a young man, the call of war came for World War I in France. And probably 1917, I think he joined the Light Horse. Grandpa's war wound. He lived with that challenge for the rest of his life. And he retired early, he retired in his 50s. At that point he said to my dad, alan, I want you to have this. And I think that expression of faith in the next generation started at that point. And in the same way, I guess I'm a little bit tired now and my son's taken over the management of this farm. Hi, I'm Mitch Brimblecombe, I'm the manager here at Moira Farming. Yeah, so I suppose I took over at a traditionally young age, 19, 20 years old. And yeah, there's been a lot to learn in that time and especially early on, but we've been learning and we'll never stop learning from what we do and the mistakes we make or the successes we have. And as we've evolved over the years, you know, Mum and Dad are also on board in the business and yeah, we're growing and evolving together. Lots to love about farming. It's a great industry. There's so many different aspects to our business and any farming business, whether it's agronomy, machinery, operation, earthworks, team management, finance, future direction, it's always something to think about and do on an hour to hour basis, minute to minute, you know, there's always something happening and that's always exciting. To be a farmer, you need a few more tools in your toolkit. They're big and they're expensive and you need someone like John Deere Finance to walk on that journey with you. I'm Sean Proctor, I'm the Territory finance manager for John Deere Financial. I think we're dealing with customers that are very busy in their day to day lives. So from our perspective, we want to make life as simple as possible for them and the way that we can do that is to help with their business looking at electronic means like e signature in terms of signing contracts, online application processes, we're really trying to find a way to give them ease of operation and do things on their own time because they don't have the time throughout the day. The reason I recommend John Deere Finance to other people is I was laying in bed at 9pm in my pajamas and I signed the deal on my iPhone to buy this tractor and then went to sleep. But you don't have to use that. That's why I like John Deere Finance.
