John Deere lubricants and filters can extend service intervals and reduce maintenance costs for farm equipment. The company offers an oil calculator tool to help optimize when you change oil, and genuine products come with warranty coverage that aftermarket alternatives don't.
It's worth investing in John Deere lubricants as they design and make their own engines and they set the service standards for these products. You can trust that they have made a lubricant that is set to meet those standards. With harvesters it's very weather dependent, so it's essential that when they are right to go, they have to go. Don't want to be stopping. One, because of an inferior lubricant and two, to change one out.
Using the John Deere boils and the filters, you've got those extended service intervals. If you're not using those, the recommended interval is 250 hours as opposed to 500 using the John Deere lubricants and filters. So there's a lot less waste and a lot less cost involved.
It is not recommended to run inferior oils to 500 hours. John Deere have tested for this find an hour interval whereas other manufacturers have not. And these other manufacturers will not supply written warranty, whereas John Deere will.
John Deere have an oil calculator, it's on the web, you can access it. We as a dealer can come out and show you. We can put in all the costs of what your filters cost, what your oil is costing you, what your service intervals are for those oils that you're using, and it'll come up with a figure at the end of, you know, how much per hour that servicing and maintaining that tractor is costing you. So yeah, it's a really awesome tool to have a look at. And actually when you put the figures in there, it's quite surprising how much you save with doing a 500 hour interval service rather than a 250.
