John Deere Harvest X | 1000 Tonnes in a Day Episode 4

This is a YouTube video titled "John Deere Harvest X | 1000 Tonnes in a Day Episode 4" containing an English conversational recording from May 12, 2024. The content features a dialogue primarily between two participants, ANT and BEN, discussing the progress, challenges, and performance of a large-scale agricultural harvest operation using John Deere machinery. They cover topics such as grain loss, machine optimization, mechanical issues, and achieving a target of harvesting 1000 tonnes in a day under tough conditions. The conversation is informal and focused on the practical aspects of the harvest.
All right, everyone, we're good to go. Good luck for today. Stay safe and don't leave anything out there.
Just checking for grain loss just on the first pass. Obviously we'll drop trays as we get going, but just very, very minimal loss there. I'm happy with that. Really happy. And we're ready to.
Steve, that's just clocked over one hour. So one hour in and we're averaging around 68 to 70 tonnes an hour. So on target for about 15 hours or just under.
You can see here we're dealing with losses. It's managing losses and grain quality. We've got a fair bit happening. Wall wasps. He's unloading on the go. Tractor synced to it. Machine optimising itself. Drive nearly driving itself and he's still ripping off what, 65, 70 ton an hour, which is exceptional.
Looking good, Looking really good at the moment. So keep it going. One hour in, we'll get.
I don't know.
What do you reckon you'll crack?
Well, that's what we're just talking about. If the sun comes out, I reckon 8, 0 is not far. Not. I reckon we can do it. All right. Another.
That's smashing hectare, isn't it?
I know that's a lot of fun.
If we get that done, I want to see it.
Yeah, pretty good going. Pretty smooth. Starting to dry out the straw a fair bit. So we're getting a bit more slowly increasing in performance. So, no, it's going pretty good. Can't complain.
Anti come over asap.
A gearbox failure. I'm putting it down to right now, so we'll move over to these nice long runs here. G', day, Ben. No, that's a big job. Let's see what happens. Anyway, we'll finish fueling up and take the front off and go from there. So have a look at the removal guide.
So we ended up diagnosing the issue. It ended up being a really simple broken bolt. At the time we weren't sure what it was, so we decided to drop the front off. We needed to do a fuel top up, but now we're back out in the field harvesting. With 50 foot, we lost probably about an hour of time, but we're still good to go towards a thousand tonnes.
It's sun setting. We just ticked over 750 tons, which is obviously 3/4 away there. So, you know, it's getting. It's going to get a bit tougher now, you know, maybe another three and a half, four hours. Hopefully four hours. We can. We can pull it up and get, get there, Sam.
36 minutes to get to 15 hours and we've got about 40 tons to go. So I reckon we're going to be right on. 15 hours to do the thousand, but getting tougher. We're almost there. 10 to go.
Last box full, guys.
Now make sure you can get back here. Bring around n a thousand ton. That's a lot of ton.
That's big day.
That's unbelievable. Did you think that we're going to.
Make it the start of the week.
When it was raining? No.
There goes the last half, the thousandth ton.
We wanted this to be as real as a harvest can be and I think, I think we're able to prove that the X9 can really deliver. Morning, middle of the day, nighttime still doing, you know, 60s, 70s peaking at 75 tons an hour at middle of the night.
We just got off the space shuttle. Welcome back, welcome back. Yeah, you've got to be an internal optimist to be an act, don't you? This Challenger was going to be full.
On, as I said. Knew the machine could always do it, but never know what conditions you're going to get. Even today. Like the cool conditions, man, I'm still amazed why we actually got it done.
When you say people go, oh, what two edges? No one, you know, Aussie farmers, you know, they want to see it proven out in Australian conditions, improve it on tracks. We can prove it with a 50 foot front. With these weather conditions we can prove it in any condition, really.
I thought it was going to be really tough and it was, and it was tough. It was meant to be tough. So pretty stoked that we got that result in the end and at the.
Start of the week we probably didn't think we were going to get there. And here we are on last night of the or last day of the shooting, last day of the year challenge. We could have done it and, you know, everyone's really happy we did it, so it's great effort. 3, 2, 1. All right. That was terrible. It.
