John Deere Help At Hand with the Rethus'

John Deere's digital product specialists work with farmers to adopt new tools and provide ongoing training. The speakers share how this local support system helps them integrate technology and improve productivity on their farms.
These digital tools, they are new to most farmers and John Deere have digital product specialists embedded in the dealerships. And so our product support specialist has a huge amount of knowledge on the technology that they're trying to apply and roll out. They're exposing us to new technology all the time, which is great. We do sessions where they review what you've got and allow you an opportunity to learn and grow. Like everybody knows you don't REM the first time. So having a refresher every now and again, where we talk through improvements and how we can get more out of the system is always a benefit. I think it's important too, with the product specialists. They have the ability to communicate at different levels. So we may be being in the precision ag space for a lot longer than somebody else, but they can talk at our level and keep us motivated in the digital space. But they can also talk to somebody very new that may be a bit green and a bit worried about the transition and coach them in and get them started and also connect them with other farmers that they're dealing with that are doing it well, that they can talk to and help bounce off ideas as well.
I think that's what's great, is our local team tries to understand us and they try and work with us as a partner.
I think they're also willing to challenge us a little bit as well. Like, this is something we think will fit with you. We're usually more than welcome to have a go because we know we've got great support to help get the best out of that tool. So I think if anyone who's going.
Down this path is just comfort that you know there is a local team there to help you. There is the local product specialists. They're there, they're happy to answer your call. You can ask the silly questions multiple times and they'll always answer it.
John Deere too have recognised that this digital technology is not simple for the average person. It's a bit of a foreign thing. And so they've invested into it and encouraged dealers to have support people to do it because they see it's important for agriculture down the track, because if farmers aren't profitable, John Deere won't have machinery to sell. It's a great relationship in a way, to have this support to improve our productivity.
