John Deere Home Maintenance Kit | Unboxing & How To

Molly Ritterbeck walks through a John Deere home maintenance kit and shows you how to do your own oil changes, filter replacements, and spark plug checks. Everything you need for annual upkeep, explained step by step.
Hey, I'm Molly Ritterbeck at your Columbus, Georgia sun south location. And today we're going to talk about your at home maintenance kits that you can get at your local parks counter. What this is going to give you is the ability to do annual maintenance on your machine. If you are mechanically inclined or heck, just want to try it out. It's not a, not a hard thing to do and we're here to help you the whole way. Everything you need with your oil, it'll come. You're going to have your oil filter, you're going to have your air filter. You're also going to have a fuel filter, your two spark plugs, and we're even going to give you a sticker to put on for when your next service is due. That way you can kind of keep an eye on where you're at. All right, we're going to move to the back of the machine now to show you where all the points are that you need to complete your at home maintenance. Here the yellow is going to be your oil. You're just going to twist that off. You're going to fill and then check your oil and then you'll replace your cap. Right here you're going to have your air filter comes off. All you got to do is pull this off, replace it, and then make sure you screw it back down. Now for your spark plugs, this is how I locate them. You're going to treat your John Deere mower like it's your family, because it is. And you're going to give it a big hug. And right here are your spark plugs on your left side and it's going to be on the same side or the same spot on the right side for you as well. Here you're going to have your fuel filter to replace and right below that you're going to have your oil filter to replace. They screw on and off, the oil filter does. So it's pretty easy to do. All right, so that wraps up the home maintenance kit that you can get from your local Sunsouth dealership parts counter. It is once a year style maintenance for the average homeowner. If you don't feel confident in your ability to do that, you're still more than welcome to bring it to our service department so they can help you out with all your needs.
