This is a YouTube video titled "John Deere Mower Preventative Maintenance" created in December 2023. It features a single speaker, Alex from SunSouth, providing practical maintenance tips for lawnmower care to help viewers avoid costly repairs, especially during seasonal changes. The content is instructional and focused on equipment upkeep.
Hey, good morning. This is Alex down at SunSouth, and I'm just here to give you a couple of maintenance tips and things that you can do to prevent your lawnmower from coming in for maintenance. It'll save you a lot of bucks, save you a lot of time. That's what we're going to hope to do today. One of the first things that you can do is you can always check your filters. If your filter is dirty, nasty, it's going to definitely cause you problems in the long run. It's something quick to do, is only two screws to take off. And if, if it was me, I'd check it almost every time I get done. Because you'll get grass from every time that you cut. And speaking of the grass, when you cut, I know you don't want to do it all the time, but periodically, make sure you clean from under your spindles. Because of the twigs, any debris, it causes damage to the belts, and that's the biggest thing. And that spindle wouldn't be cheap. The little bit of time, 20, 30 minutes for that preventive thing. And the biggest thing right now, since it's going to be the change of the year and everybody, you're not cutting grass, and that's fine. So you're going to have to put those mowers up. When you put your mower up, if you're not going to empty it, then you definitely will want to make sure that you have some additive to add. And you can get this additive here at sun south if you need it. This is just an example. Anything other than that, you know, just have a good blessed holidays. Merry Christmas from Sun South.
