My business partner and I, we both started out with smaller family farms. In about 2009, we joined our businesses together and then plus took on extra land to share, farm and lease. And we've grown it from there into where we are today. There's a whole lot of stuff that we grow and it goes pretty well all around the world. We've been using the my operations and my MyAnalyzer app with John Deere for a few months now. We thought, wow, this is awesome. MyAnalyzer lets you look at what your actual maps are that the machines are generating and, you know, if the yields are different in different areas, you can actually see actually what's going on there, which is, I think, is a really good feature. Also, we can look at what the settings are on the machine. I might be finished my shift and just sit down for a beer and I go, I'll just check, see what the settings are on the machine and how they've got it running for that time of the evening. You know, little things like that we found can actually be quite useful. One of the features I like about the JDOps app is that it has a snail trail where the machines have been and it enables us to track how machines are going. For example, in a larger operation where you have staff moving machinery around, you can see whether they've taken the correct route that you've instructed them to. If they've gone and disappeared and they haven't turned up yet, you can have a look on your phone or your iPad and go, where are they? Oh, there they are. So you don't need to worry with our mechanics. And that too, where we've actually had an issue and all of a sudden they've turned up. They knew exactly where the machines were and where we may have had to. Otherwise wait for a half a day or several hours for them to get there. All of a sudden you realise how much you use the app. It really helps you make better decisions. There's an old adage that says if you can't measure it, you can't manage it. And I think that really sums up well what some of this technology is about. It gives you a lot better opportunity to measure what you're doing to make better management decisions for your whole business, almost real time as you're going along and really, at the end of the day, make more profit.
