Hey, guys, my name is Matt green here with SunSouth Tuscaloosa. I wanted to spend a little time with you today and explain the differences between a rider and a zero turn. We have this question a lot. We have a lot of questions about, you know, what's the best mower for my situation, I just wanted to point out a few things that would kind of make that decision maybe a little bit easier for you or give you a little bit more information on what rider or zero turn would be right for you. We're not really going to dove into the actual models. We're just going to talk generally about what the differences would be between a zero turn and a rider. What I've got here is a Z9. This is one of our commercial mowers. And then I've got an X390, which is one of our residential riding mowers. One of the biggest differences between a rider and a zero turn is weight distribution. So here in this area, we do have a lot of heels. So, you know, when somebody comes in and they say, matt, I've got a lot of heels on my property, we generally gravitate toward a rider because of the weight distribution. The zero turn does not like anything over about a 14% grade. So the rider does make it easier on a heel. Another advantage to the rider over the zero turn is the availability of attachments. A lot of people like a trailer, you know, things like that. It's more of a tractor style experience. You can get a little bit more versatility out of a rider. So we do see that with customers wanting to do some brush removal, things like that, more gardening. That's why they call those garden tractors, you know. Some benefits to the zero turn, of course, are going to be speed. A lot of people hear that the zero turn is faster, which is absolutely true, you know, so you do pick up speed, but you really, you have to be on a flatter surface. So, you know, the rider gives you that more versatility on the heels. And with the attachments, you pick up speed with the zero turn. But you always have to remember that you're giving up a little bit of the, the availability to cut on some inclines. So that's one of the big things. Another thing is comfort. A lot of people are more comfortable on a rider simply because you don't have to use two hands. You know, that's another big deal. A lot of people cut their grass and they, they want to have an availability to a beverage or, you know, maybe to pick up trash, things like that. So you, you don't have to use two hands with a rider. That's another difference. And those are some of the key things you need to think about is when you're picking out your mower or we're helping you pick out the perfect mower for you is what are we gonna be using it for and how much grass are we gonna be cutting? Time. Another thing is, I hear a lot of people say that time is an issue. So if time is an issue, a zero turn may be a better choice. A lot of people enjoy doing their lawn work, and they don't necessarily care for cutting the time. They enjoy doing what they're doing. So a rider may be the right choice. Well, you know, that's just a few of the highlighted differences between the rider and the zero turn. I would encourage you to come down, if not here, to one of our locations, and speak to one of our trained sales professionals. What we're going to do is we're going to qualify you and we're going to find out exactly what piece of equipment may it be. A lawnmower, side by side, a tractor. We're going to qualify you on what piece of equipment you need to do the job. That's what we're here to do. So we always encourage you to do your own research. Come in with that, and let's put it all together and get the perfect piece of equipment to fit your needs.
