John Deere's new T5 and T6 combines use multi-drum threshing systems designed for better grain separation and residue management. The machines feature precision agriculture technology, improved cab comfort, and fuel efficiency gains over previous models.
The new T5 and T6 combines share a lot of the same dear NA with the top of the range twin rotor X9. Luxury Cab the cab is identical with the one on our Top of the range x9 combine the ultimate in Comfort it's exceptionally well equipped, quiet and spacious with many features you would usually only see on premium cars. The floor to ceiling glass provides excellent visibility of the feeder house and even the widest headers day or night. It's also loaded with amenities and lots of thoughtful touches that you'll soon appreciate. For instance, the door has an electric cinch mechanism that this creates an airtight seal and because the cab is positively pressurized, dust doesn't blow in when you open the door. You'll love the comfort too. The Active Seat 2 absorbs nearly 90% of all vertical movement for a relaxing, smooth ride. It also swivels up to 16 degrees to the left and right. Perforations in the back allow air ventilation to keep you cool and a massage function is also available for the ultimate in stress free combining. When the machine starts going down the hill, the cleaning fan speed increases and the chaffer and sieve close to reduce the amount of chaff entering the grain tank. Multi Drum Threshing System the proven multi drum threshing system is what gives the T5 and T6 models their incredible performance. The T6 has the largest active separation area of any walker combine on the market. The large diameter threshing cylinder with its extra long concave and the gentle over the top crop flow provides excellent threshing and separating. It also minimizes grain damage and preserves straw quality. A booster bar can also be engaged at the front of the threshing concave. It increases the aggressiveness of the threshing without the need to insert de awning plates that reduce the active separation area in hard to thresh crops. It delivers a performance boost of up to 10%. Precision Starfire receiver Integrated into the cab roof, the new Starfire 7500 receiver is factory calibrated and gives you improved accuracy. The SF1 signal is included in base and offers 15 cm pass to pass accuracy. You can upgrade the license to Starfire RTK offering up to 2.45 cm pass to pass accuracy and 5 years repeatability without the need for a base station network signal. Grain sensing harvest lab 3000 grain sensing gives you valuable insights into your field which can change the way you farm every second of the harvest. It records and maps accurate measurements of moisture, protein, starch and oil for a wide range of crops. This allows you to store and manage individual batches of your crop based on quality. It also provides important data for the analysis of how nutrient applications have affected yield, protein or oil. This allows you to make better comparisons between crop varieties and plan your fertilizer applications for the following season with confidence. Accurate Unloading the auger features the same adjustable spout as the X9 for spill free unloading. When you add a peak unloading rate of 150 liters per second, larger grain tank options and machine sync for automated control of the trailer, the T5 and T6 will transform your harvest logistics. Upgraded Residue Management the residue management system also benefits from technology transfer from the S7 combines with shared Dear NA. The chopper has been upgraded with more knives and a lower RPM for better efficiency. It can also be equipped with the XL knives from the X9 combine with their low resistance golf course indentations. Auto swap compensation for side winds is also available. This automatically changes the direction of the compensation at headland turns for a more relaxed operator experience. Fuel Efficient Engines A new power plant has been added to both the T5 and T6 ranges. The JD9X has improved cooling and exhaust treatment systems that provide more efficient gas flow and reduced power loss.
