This is a YouTube video titled "John Deere T560i HillMaster Combine Testimonial Video - John Moss, Yealmpton" containing a testimonial from John Moss, a farmer and contractor, recorded in 2016. John discusses his farming operations, the features and benefits of the John Deere T series combine, including its capacity, fuel efficiency, maneuverability, and service support, recommending it to other customers.
I'm John Moss. We're farmers and contractors. We're mainly concentrated on arable farming. We farm about 1200 acres, but we also do quite a lot of agriculture contracting. Big chunk of it is combining. I think the total acreage is about 3,253 thousand3, depending on the year. The most important thing for us with any machine we buy is service and backup. Smallridge Brothers have been excellent at that. We're on the doorstep. They look after extremely well. Why did we go for a T series, particularly the new model? We're looking for a combine that gives us the best separation area possible out of a Stalker combine. The new active separation area in the new T series appealed to me because of the greater volume that we could get out of that combine and the greater separation area we could get out of that combine. One, to try and get greater capacity, but two, get a better separation of barley or serials from the straw. Previously we had two 560s and one 670. The comparison we have so far is that it's a very easy combine to manoeuvre. It's a very easy combine to set up by comparison. Got a very tight turning circle, which it has proved to have greater capacity and greater separation areas, which is good for our particular field. So we can get in and out of work very quickly. It's very quiet, so overall it's a very much more comfortable combine to drive. The new 560 compares very well to the old 670. Capacity wise, I think there's very little difference to choose, which I'm very pleased with, and that was one of the objectives that we wanted to achieve. One of the big differences is that the new 560 is very much more economical on fuel than the old 670. It is performing very well and it's very efficient by comparison. We've been very pleased with the performance of the 560s and, yes, I would happily recommend it to other fellow customers.
