L600 Large Square Baler | John Deere

This is a YouTube video titled "L600 Large Square Baler | John Deere" created in June 2020, presenting a detailed product overview and promotional presentation of the John Deere L600 large square baler. The content is a monologue or single-speaker presentation describing the features, technical specifications, and benefits of the baler for agricultural use, aimed at potential customers and operators.
Life square baler operators told us we need a baler that exceeds our customers expectations and provides us with the versatility for our business to thrive. Well, we responded and here it is. The all new John Deere L600. With the L600 we offer three different model variants. Like here we have the L634, our flagship machine offering bale chamber size of 120 x 90. We also offer the L6,3,3 with a bale chamber size of 80 x 90. And finally the L624 offering a bale chamber of 120 x 70 cm. Our L600 engineers approach employ simplicity to achieve efficiency. And in doing this they incorporated a 64% heavier flywheel inside our L600 baler, ensuring a smooth and optimal function of all components inside this machine. We've protected all major driveline components on the L600 with a series of cam clutches which when peak threshold load is reached, they disengage automatically, reducing your downtime with no shear bolts to worry about. So why would you choose to buy an L600 large square baler from John Deere? Well, let's start with the pickup. The L600 benefits from a 2.3 metre wide cam track pickup design with five time bars offering fantastic performance no matter what crop you have in front of it. You'll recognise on our large square baler we maintain that inline high capacity rotor design known throughout the John Deere baler range today. The benefit of this being that everything moves closer together so crop is quickly transferred from the swath to through and into the large square baler. So why do we use a cam track design? Quite simply, we're able to have a more quick and effective crop transfer. As the cam track tines rotate, they actually fall away at the rear, thus transferring the crop into the rotor and leaving no dead spots for crop to accumulate with our Maxicut rotor. With 23 knives we can run these in selectable banks of 23, 12 or 20 or 11 and 0. All of these benefit from individual hydraulic protection. So when any foreign object impacts a knife, only that knife that has been impacted retracts, maintaining the highest possible chop quality standard in your baler. Access to the knives couldn't be easier. We use a cassette style system that opens up just like you would see on a chest of drawers, allowing you quick and easy access to replace or sharpen knives. One additional option that we can offer you within our pickup is our driven crop roller. This can provide you with up to 10% extra performance in tough going Heavy swaths. Once we have our crop into the baler, we transfer it into our pre compression chamber. Our single feeder funk design that we know from our L1500 series densely compacts the crop inside our pre compression chamber until our trip plates, which are located in the upper rear section of the pre compression chamber are depressed. Once our trip plates are pushed back, our single feeder fork design initiates a filling stroke taking that densely compacted wad into the bale chamber. Other nice features inside the L600 series baler include our movable twine storage compartments which you can open out to enable ease of access into the side of the baler. These pre compressed flakes or wads of crop are transferred up into our bale chamber before then being even further compressed by our heavy duty plunger design. The load pin controlled high capacity plunger runs at an amazing 46 strokes per minute and utilizes these four 125mm diameter bearings. A long bale chamber is of critical importance to deliver high high quality bales at high levels of density. At 3.3 meters, our long bale chamber is perfectly equipped to deliver this. How do we apply pressure onto our chamber? Well, we use what we call our belt with four hydraulic rounds, positively applying pressure onto the bale that sits inside the chamber. This can operate up to a max of 210 bar. All sounds great, but what does that mean to you? Square shouldered, perfectly dense, highly compacted bales with superior silage and straw quality achieved. As a result, you can put anything in front of this baler and be assured you will achieve fantastic quality bales. Our L600 large square balers come equipped to carry 30 spools of twine no matter what size you want to put inside this baler. What's the benefit of this design? Well, its low height enables you ease of access and a simple solution for loading spools of twine into the baler. When it comes to tying our bales, we use a shaft driven double tie knotter system. Using electronic twine tension readouts onto the main screen via the Isobus terminal in the cab, we're able to effectively monitor our knotting performance and string tension throughout the formation of the bale. When it comes to tying our bales, we offer two systems. Either an electrical tying method for which you set your desired bale length in the cab. Once that's reached, the trip mechanism is electronically fired off to tie off that bale. Alternatively, we can revert back to a manual tying system. Any experienced baler operator knows just how important it Is to keep this area clean and debris free. To do that, we use our two what we call quadra flow fans that originated from our W and T series combines. These fans are able to generate 200 km of wind speed here and 80 km of wind speed at the bill hook down where we're actually tying the knot. It is with this that we're able to keep this area free from any dirt or debris build up. The L600 now benefits from using load sensing. So for instance, when you want to lower your tailgate, there is no requirement to set an SCV in the cab constantly pumping. This is now done with the ease of a touch of a button from the side of the bale chamber. This L634 is actually configured with an onboard weighing system. Using our four weigh cells behind me, the baler is able to give you a live readout of the bale that's passing over the cells at that moment in time. It can give you an average of the last three bales or a field total. This provides you with another service that you can deliver to your customers. With the L600, you can either spec it with a tandem or a single axle. With the tandem axle, you get rear steering and base equipment. Inside our bale chamber, we also have our moisture meter with reading parameters between 9 and 40% moisture content. Large scale baler operators or operations can really benefit from job management made easy eliminating unnecessary paperwork and phone calls. Through My Job connect, we can assist you. Using this free downloadable app, My Job connect, you can quickly and easily assign tasks to your operators and even ask them to make reports of certain information that you may require for invoicing purposes. This is all sent back directly to you in the farm office. The L600 is a baler built upon feedback from you, our customers. This machine can deliver you 5% more density, 10% more performance and lower your cost of operation. We've also seen features such as a 25% larger rotor diameter and a 64% heavier flywheel. If you're looking for a high performance large square baler that delivers highly dense bales in less time, the L600 is the baler for you.
