This is the entry to our walking track. Well, it will be with the help of some good John Deere equipment. To do. First thing is we need a new marker. Okay. Smooth the ground. We're going to use the tractor for that. And we're also using the tractor to auger some holes. Set posts. Lay crushed granite. Move rocks. Mulch the whole area. And then finally, the finishing touches. Welcome to our walking track. This will soon be the entry. Of course, it's what we're working on today. We're building this walking track because we love our home. Home is an oasis, and we're trying to make it better and better and really nice for our family. We have children that love to go for walks, and we just know that they're going to be safe. They can take a nice long stroll around our property. We're eventually going to plant it out with different little areas that have areas of interest, and it's just going to be something really nice for our family to enjoy. What's The day's only going to get hotter, so let's get started. We're going to smooth the ground and we're going to get this job done. Tick! Let's go dig some holes. I really couldn't get this job done without the auger. Our ground is rock hard, it's full of rocks, and it's the middle of summer. And you're about to see how easy this thing cuts through the ground. First up, I'm going to make some marks because you get one shot at this and I want them in the exact right spot. Tick! Well, that was easy. Let's go set these posts. Now that these poles are set up where I want them, I'm actually compacting them in. We're not using concrete again. If you've seen the chicken coop video, you'll understand why. So for these poles, we're just kicking dirt in and tampering it down. Oh, not too bad. I'm a professional pole installer. That one's full of rubble. I gotta bring out this. Look at that, it just fell back in. So these poles, we're using them to put little downlights on as path lighting for our track. Just got to measure the height. Tick. Poster done. Back on the tractor. Tick. Imagine doing that with a wheelbarrow. I can't believe I picked all these rocks up off our oval. All right, let's see what we can do. I'm just going to make this look a bit more like a dry riverbed because I think that would be a very nice feature. And once we get these rocks placed, I'm going to fill this in with mulch so it kind of makes the trees look like they're a part of the whole thing. Tick! Hard stuff's done. Let's mulch! That's actually a pretty thick layer, isn't it? Tick! Now for the fun part. I'm putting on some solar uplights, and I've made a template so I know exactly where the holes need to go. And I hook them on and we're done. Tractors are not just for farming. You can also do some really amazing landscaping projects. I spent one day on this walking track entry and my family and I are going to enjoy this for years. These are the only type of rabbits that we like around here. Look, they're kissing. What do you reckon? Not bad for a day's work. Another project done and it looks amazing. Tick!
