This is a YouTube video titled "Manutenção Periódica p/ Colhedora de Algodão" containing a detailed instructional guide on the periodic maintenance and lubrication procedures for modern cotton harvesters, specifically focusing on the row unit lubrication process. The content is technical and aimed at operators or maintenance personnel, created on September 4, 2020.
Modern cotton harvesters, especially the round module building models, accumulate many more row unit run hours in one day of picking than their predecessors. Proper lubrication performed at the correct hourly intervals is a critical part of row unit maintenance. After the row units have been thoroughly cleaned and inspected, the row unit should be greased with the onboard or manual lubrication system. Refer to your owner's manual to determine your lubrication system. Enter the cab, sound the horn, and start the engine. Press the lube and tether button to activate the lubrication system. Return to the ground and remove the tether switch from the tether storage compartment. Pull the tether and cord from the compartment. Move away from the row units and make sure all others are clear. Press and hold the button on the tether to start the row units turning and to start the lubrication system. Observe the top six spindles on the picker bars. Continue until grease is visible at the spindle nut on two of the top six spindles on each bar and on both front and rear drums. Grease will also be applied to the gear train and the cam tracks in the top of each row unit. Release the switch button and return the tether to its storage compartment.
