This is a YouTube video titled "Meet Lawn Legend Clive | John Deere" featuring Clive, who lives off-grid in Mudgee and shares his passion for gardening and maintaining multiple themed gardens on his property. The content is a personal narrative about his lifestyle and gardening preferences, recorded in December 2022.
Hi, I'm Clive. I live here off grid on my property in Mudgee, and that allows me to do what I love, and that is tending lots of gardens. We bought the property in 1992. It was love at first sight, and so we fell in love with it. Beautiful green, surrounded by magnificent hills. But we had been warned by the agent en route. This property redefines basic. When we got here, we quite agreed with that. However, what we saw was a magnificent valley with a clean canvas for us to actually build gardens to enjoy future years. My preferred gardening style is the formal gardening style, which complements the fact that that the mudgy climate is identical to Italy's Tuscany region. I have a range of probably a good dozen gardens. There's the around the world garden. There's the tulip garden, formal garden, the espalier garden, the Mediterranean garden, citrus grove. It probably continues on a little bit beyond that as well. I've had my John Deere mower for around 15 years, and it is just a fantastic workhorse. It start. Starts first time every time. It's my mate. It helps me keep everything under control. Yeah, lawn legend. Yeah, I guess I'm quite comfortable with that.
